    Tragic To hear about Dr. who was unable to get the help to deal with her depression, caused by working extreme hours during the Co-vid pandemic. Everyone loses, she lost her life, the community lost a health professional who cared to much.

    So so sad , its a shame there was care put in place for whom she was helping but none put in place to care properly for the helpers. If someone could have reassured her that her job was safe if she took time off to heel maybe the outcome would have been different. To her family and friends I'm terribly sorry for your loss xx

    It’s time to say and admit we are not okay and we need help, take a break whatever. Emergency Physicians are humans too!!!

      I work in healthcare and companies don't see us as human. We're cogs in the machine.

    What the DSM doesn't admit is that mental illness is subjective. It all boils down to who you love and who you hate.
    RIP

    • @SuperMichelleDJ
      @SuperMichelleDJ หลายเดือนก่อน

      the DSM also doesn't account for the fact that forcing people to make different choices never works.

    Depression kills

    • @lalaithan
      @lalaithan 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, depression is survivable. It's just very hard to get good care in the US.

    Dr Breen worked at the Allen Pavilion NY Presbyterian and a seasoned physician in critical care. The Allen ER is a hub for Several nursing homes. Dr Breen would have had first hand experience of seeing nursing home patients being sent back to nursing homes with Covid. Hmmmm
