    I went to College in Guadalajara in the late 90's. I loved it.
    I still go down to Mexico every year on vacation.
    When the time comes, I hope to retire in Mexico.

    Yucatan state and it´s capital, Merida, are often rated as one of the best places to live in Mexico - or even in the world. All things considered, this is a safe, lively, affordable place to be !

    Mitch Keenan, I would suggest you entitle this you tube: Live, Work and Retire in Merida, Yucatan (Vs. in Mexico), which is a very general tern refering to 31 Mexican states. I would retire in Merida, or its surroundings. That area of Mexico is very unique when compared to other parts of Mexico. Thanks for your great presentation here.

    Hello, I'm retired military and can retire from State. My wife is areal estate agent and employed. We hate the mentalities found here in Baltimore. We plan to vacation again in Cancun. We love it. We are Black Americans who don't fit in with the normal low class attitudes found here in the USA. I have lived abroad several times WE want to be put in contact with other Blacks who retired there if possible.

    Wow, this interview was uploaded in 2009, where he talks about the low-cost of living and then specifically at 3:36 he says, _"I like the fact that the government doesn't interfere in my life... etc"_ How prophetic, now in 2021.

    I got tricked, I thought by the title of the video to do that as a mexican...... well not close enough, hu. I love my country but you can`t do that as a mexican, of course not need to be rich foreign in mexico like the host says. Story is 180 drifferent for mexican citizens, enjoy your stay while you can.

    There's a young man who came on board where I work about a year ago. He's Mexican American. Yesterday, he got a call right after arriving at work from someone who had kidnapped his sister in Mexico. He left work immediately. He was crying. My boss and his wife are also Mexican American. He told me that his wife told her family members in Mexico, that she wanted to come visit them. They told her that where they live, people are afraid to leave there homes at night and they said she should not come because it's too dangerous.

      +jrmint2 the news? lol news in our country run by obummer are not real news they are entertainment! Please do your own research an first don't believe everything the obummer manipulated media is saying these days. I mean it is so fkn obvious how can people still believe everything the media is saying these days?! pharma companies the real drug dealers, legal prescriptions kill more than double the number of Americans yearly than illegal narcotics research people wake up! stop being manipulated and start researching and verifying the reality of what the real situation is.

      did u know zetas were trained in the middle east by U.S. military? did you know that fast and furious U.S. selling Mexican cartels high powered weapons have killed thousands of innocent Mexican people who were not criminals? did u know for the past 5 yrs. Mexicans have been leaving the U.S. and are not #1 undocumented immigrants crossing into the U.S.? central Americans and immigrants from other countries are number and this because obamer invited them offering under age children from central America refugee. undocumented Mexicans do not ever get any kindcof u.s. help. Muslims and african refugees get free rent, bills, food, medical, education that doesn't stop at high school, get certified, get job placement, a free vehicle, and get taught English all free my friends with our ancestors and our own hard work money!!! undocumented immigrants don't even get emergency medical assistance!! Mexicans are native Americans so wouldn't it be fair to help them and not people from other side of Earth? stop the baseless hateful racism against us and our people because these are our god given lands we don't have a choice on other side of earth like other immigrants do!

    • @jrmint2
      @jrmint2 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol! I'm not racist. Nothing you say changes the fact that what's happening in Mexico is infinitely safe for naive moneyed Americans. There are still some great places...but there is a trend moving away from safe. It's definitely not safe for the poor innocent Mexicans living amongst all that violence in many regions of mexico.
