    Yes I am researching Udon Thani as a option of living to due the more quiet life and also lower cost of living. It sounds like a nice place. Yes there is some bad flooding in different areas of Udon at the moment. What is the internet speeds like there? Yes the slow pace can cause boredom, but always easy to jump on a plane and go exploring around Thailand from there.

      It depends on your phone service, the more expensive you pay, the faster the internet you'll get. But if you often follow their service packages, there are also cheap prices and fast internet service too :)

    • @gregoryegan
      @gregoryegan 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Miunaka I need super fast internet to do what I want to do, prefer to set it up in the condo I rent , and also get a good mobile phone contract as well with good internet packages. Any recommendations for Udon Thani or ubon ratchathani around internet contracts and mobile contracts with internet for high speed and good reception.

      @@gregoryegan From my experiences 3BB has the highest internet speeds in Thailand for broadband/wifi. For the phone it just depends on what you pay. Thailand on average has very high speed internet. Among the best in the world on average.

    I wonder if the girl who called herself Minnie Mouse and made the coconut milkshakes in Mae Rim lives in Udon Thani. I would like her to send me a message because she left Mae Rim and I would like to just say hello.

Udon Thani city looks very peaceful and quiet and different from Bangkok. I've been to Bangkok many times on Business between 2004 and 2010. I am reading online that as many as 5000 foreign men (Americans, Canadians, Europeans) live in and around Udon Thani. Is this true? Is the estimate realistic?

    Hi! Great vid! Can you do me an a great favor to tell the truth about the Sakon Nakhom region? Is the Sakon Nakhom more dangerous in term of crime rate instead of South Thailand like Koh Samui or Phuket? How possible is the idea of doing business for a foreigner there?

      You had to have been at the same base that I was stationed at from Dec. 65-Dec.66. I was Motor Sargeant during my stay. It was great duty there for me and I put in for another year, but they said it was too late to request. Needed 6 months I guess. `After landing in BKK I went to Korat for a couple of weeks, and then to Udorn.'
      Plenty of stories to tell for sure. And I imagine it is the same for you. So anyways I was only in for 7 months when I ended up in Thailand.
      What a great place for an 18 yr. old!! I had long hours, but what else would a guy expect when in the military. I went downtown most every night after work. Stopped at a little food shop And ate Guat Teow, Only 1 Baht then and would fill me up.. Then hung out mostly at the Juke Box Bar.
      Please let me know if you relate to any of this, and possible we could comunicate that way.
      I am from Minnesota.
      So I finally got to go back and visit for February and November-December. I met a Thai gal online so I stayed there with her.
      We are now engaged to be married. The Covid held me up from going back in January 2020. Then other things came up.
      But I am getting close to going soon..That will be a very happy day!!
      Please share a little about your stay etc. if you like
