Onboard Motorcycle Racing at VIR North 4/19/2021

04/19/2021 Race With Motogladiator, round 3, and EvolveGT! Great Race to everyone! This was the second race of the day. All classes of bike grid up at the same time, and your place in the race is calculated by class after. I won my class 😲 (600 Superstock). 10th in qualifying to 4th overall! Lots To Learn 💪

Once everyone got out of your way, you looked awesome. Especially on the back 1/4 of the track.

Good race. A couple things. It's a bad habit to look back, try not to do it. If you miss a corner it's kind of understanding, but learn to use a bit of rear brake to tight up your corners, just don't over do it and lock it up. This will allow you to exit better and get back on the throttle sooner. You were very smart to not be in a hurry to pass some of those sloppy riders, as they are very unpredictable. Lastly, try not to react to the track, but instead predict the track and KNOW it your mind. Watch how Cameron Beaubier rides. Very neutral riding position. He doesn't over extend himself outside the bike because he knows that's wasted movement that takes too much time, which slows your lap time. It may feel cool to lean excessively off the bike, but data shows this isn't always best. Just move a little side to side, not too much. You want to slide across the seat NOT lift off the seat. Lifting unloads the rear tire a bit and destabilizes the bike, which can be very dangerous in some situations.

Nice ride. How far was the 3rd? Felt like got slowed down first laps - traffic is a huge pace killer to be passed asap. I know it's hard 😅 But each time you advance it's like "damn this is way faster - I've should have done it earlier" 😅

Would be cool if you kept the positions indicator over the video in the lower left the whole time, it’s nice having it there for reference.
