Can you power the FCU with an nihm battery? (It's just that I was thinking of getting a polarstar but have never used lipo batteries before and I don't really want to get a lipo charger, plus I know nothing about how to use lipo's.)
Lipos work the exact same as a nihm battery except it has an extra cable for charging and the normal connector cable. Way more positives too like faster rof, longer battery life and faster charging. Plus a lot more I highly suggest using a lipo. If you’re gonna invest in a polar star you might as well invest in a lipo
thank you for this video! :) So if i purchase a fusion engine for my AEG, what else do i need to get it running? I already have tank, reg, and line. Would a 7.4 1000MaH lipo be fine also?
No problem! If you already have your tank, reg, and line, then all you need is a JST wired Battery. We recommend the 7.4v Mini Lipos shown here: ampedairsoft.com/zippy-7-4v-350mah-2s-20c-mini-lipo/ However, the 7.4v 1000mah will work too as long as it's JST wired. If you do not have JST connector on your battery, we do have the following adapter that will also work for you: ampedairsoft.com/amped-custom-jst-battery-side-to-mini-male-tamiya-adapter/ If you have any other questions, please feel free to shoot us an email at sales@ampedairsoft.com. There truly is not a "best" setting as they are gun, setup, and preference dependent. The main setting to keep in mind is dP. This affects your dwell time. If it's too high, you use more air than you need. If it's too low, it may not function correctly. Tuning this is one of the most important things to keep efficiency high.
Amped Airsoft thank you. Do you have any fcu advice with set ups with longer inner-barrels? Id like to make my dmr build as effective and efficient as possible.
@@noelbnetz No problem! Yup, make your DP as low as you possibly can without sacrificing FPS or performance. It is best to do this with a chronograph. You will be able to see when your fps starts to dip as you adjust your dP downwards. Once it starts to dip, you know where you will want to stay. Go up in dP one or two and you will be set. Only fine adjustments after that point.
caleb wheeler sure can with the newer gen FCUs. It is your S1 and S2 setting. Please check out the latest FCU walk through on this channel. Hope this helps!
So with my old fcu that I bought from someone I was able to shoot semi auto with no delay in between shots but with my new fcu the semi auto seems to have a limit of shots in between each other basically a limited rps?i put it as low as possible on it and I have a speedtrigger and it’s still limiting my shots...Any Help?
Set your Sr setting to 0. This removes the wait time between semi shots. Copied from the manual for your reference: "Max Semi Auto ROF (Sr) - This setting controls the maximum semi auto rate of fire. Once a shot has been fired the FCU will ignore additional trigger pulls until the time in the Sr setting has elapsed. This is adjustable in 0.1ms increments from 10 shots per second (Sr 01) to as low as 1 shot every 9.9 seconds (Sr 99). Setting this to 0 turns off the timer and allows you to fire as fast as you can pull the trigger."
This is heavily setup dependent but we recommend setting your dP as low as you are able to. Please take time to tune your dP to your liking by moving your dP up and down one by one while watching your long range shots. Notice the flight path and adjust as you like. This is the way to do it so its customized to how it works best for your setup. With tuning there is no absolute way to do it. It's all setup dependent. :) Experiment and you will be rewarded with great results.

All depends what FPS you would like. 120 PSI is typically the max operating pressure. Running at 120 PSi will not hurt it, although typically you will want to run lower so that you can get more shots out of your tank.

So polarstar says that this engine can achieve up to 30rps... you’re shooting nearly 50... did they just underestimate themselves? Or was it a suggestion to not go higher than 30?
Hi there! When it comes to settings, it will be rifle dependent. However, for the most part, you want to have your dP and dN setting as low as possible without compromising performance. This will cut down on the air usage. Couple that with running at a lower PSI and you are well on your way to saving air. If you want to have a super efficient Fusion Engine, we highly recommend looking into Low Flow Poppets, Poppet Shims, High Flow Nozzles (Purple Nozzle), low strength poppet/nozzle springs and S2 Lightning Banjos. Once you have these installed, the FE is easily one of the most efficient systems out there. Hope this helps! -Kurtis
@@ryan-bl9tb Cool. Those two are a good step in the right direction. Black nozzle will help a good bit, just not as much as a higher flow nozzle. Give it a try and see what you think! The poppet does a good deal on it's own.
