    Ha ha, F U to the light! That's funny. I normally call it the focal ratio but from now on I might just start calling it the F U stop instead of F Stop, lol. I like your teaching style! Just subbed!

    April 2021, still in COVID confinement here in France. I just found this channel today, I've been binge watching Luke talk about light boxes, jewelry photography, basic photography. I'm not even sure how I ended up here..but I'm sure glad I did !

    I am so glad I stumbled onto to your videos! I learned more from your video than any other I've ever seen, and on my own journey to explore photography you shown me my first step towards my ideas of what I am looking for. I am a disabled Veteran and retired now so I am not searching for a new carrier path, just pursuing an interest I have to occupy my time. I and a drone operator now at a hobby level and there is a lot of photo knowledge I lack for this and most people I've seen keep themselves so far ahead with their skilled practices its been tough for me to find where the path began, or begins in my case. Thanks again for helping my find the first for pieces of the puzzle, you would be an awesome teacher..

    So glad I accidentally came across your videos. They are simple, down to earth on my level - simple to understand. I'm a homestead blogger and my images stink. I'll be using your videos to better my images on my blog and social media. I'm a visual learner and you explain in such a way that makes complete sense. Thanks for making things simple. This is my 2nd video I've watched of your's. I've subscribed and will be watching more. Thanks again!

    Hi Luke,
    I'm a textile designer and I'm new to photography sessions... been trying to capture photos of fabrics and they end up looking lifeless cos there's no movement... tried watching a number of photography videos and it's so hard to understand... but, you make it so simple to learn... I'd love you to do a video on how to capture photos of textiles, with and without movement...

    Hi Luke, I have a Nikon AF-S 18-55 camera. How can I take food pictures that the main product which is the focal point is bright and sharp, but the back ground is blurry and fading? I don't want to spend too much money on a professional camera.

    • @LukeAyers
      @LukeAyers  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heya! You want to buy yourself a slightly different lens. A Nikon 50mm 1.8 is cheap and also helps blur the background a lot. But you need to manually set the aperture to 1.8 or 2.0 or 2.8 to have a blurry background. Hope that makes sense
