I mostly only use open ear type buds. I have soundcore liberty 3 pro & I love them, but my ear canals get irritated after using in canal buds. I mostly stick to Tozo, & Soundpeats open ear buds. At some point I'll buy a pair of the Soundcore open air buds. Great video, keep up the good work.
Where do you think the Soundcore C30i earbuds slot in? As someone who wears glasses the over ear seems a bit thick, but the C30i earbuds attach to the side of the ear with the driver's still sitting on the outside of the ear canal.
I wish they would come up with a way to adjust the speaker to aim more into the ear canal, when I hold these with my fingers I hear more bass as opposed to the natural way they sit over the canal, the company that makes these open earbuds adjustable is going to make a lot of money.
When it comes to the open-ear--hook design I think Soundcore did it best with their Aerofit series, more specifically the Aerofit Pro which is what I use. I did give Tozo a try but the plastic was too hard and getting on and off was a bit bothersome. I know that the Aerofit Pros are either a love them or hate them product. For me, despite the lack of noise isolation they feel like having TV speakers next to your ears, without needing to be up close to the TV screen; if that makes sense. For me the Treble Boost EQ was the way to go. The open-ear style is not for me, except it is. During this hot weather it helps keep my ears dry and so far haven't had any buildup that clogs my ears and causes a painful inflammation. I do wonder about two things: ear hook v. ear clip, and will Moondrop every release a pair of open-ear buds; they already nail on sound quality, with a careful change in design they might hit it out of the park (I count the Blocks as being semi-open like regular AirPods).
It's the subjective quality of reviewing earbuds. No two ears are the same. I REALLY like what soundcore does, but I've also been a big fan of 1More in this space too.
I love my 1more dual driver neckband. The battery life on it is kinda mediocre nowadays but I'm gonna keep rocking it until it dies. Noticed they release the sonoflow pro headphones. Hope you got a pair in to review 🤞
Believe it or not, the only open style buds I've kept and use regularly, are the overpriced Bose Ultra opens. I don't recommend them unless you get them on deep sale, but for my ears they feel perfect and I've taken them on many bike rides and never had one even come close to falling out, they sound pretty bad without EQ though but so do all the other open style earbuds I've used. With the Wavelet app combined with Bose EQ they sound "good enough" I do like Bone Condition as well with the Shokz Open Run Pro (I may upgrade to the Open Run Pro 2 at some point) but the sacrifice in sound quality does limit the kind of content I can enjoy with them.
I should try a few more out. I would imagine Bose also would tune more like "speakers floating in space" rather than a LOUD driver right in front of your ear canal.
I really hope neck bands make a comeback. Theyre so convienient. Ive used the beats flex to sleep and its insane waking up to 95% battery.
Same. They're a hugely practical solution folks overlook now.
they make neckbands that you can attatch IEMs to.
