- As Thorpe Park opens for the first day of the 2018 season, join me and Charlotte as we head to the park for a day of experiencing some of our favourite rides in the UK. We share plenty of footage from all of the major rides at Thorpe Park along with looking at the many changes across the park for the new season.
We also take a first look at the entrance and queue-line to The Walking Dead: The Ride, opening this Easter at Thorpe Park. Along with all of that we enjoy plenty of re-rides on our favourite attractions, take a look at the new merchandise available for this season and much more!

And I can't believe Stealth is 12 years old! I was there for opening week and it feels like it was maybe 5 years ago, eek.
Thorpe Park looks so much cleaner this year, it seems like they’ve fixed a lot of the problems the park had in 2017. Can’t wait to get back there and see the park running the way it did back in 2013/14
It looks great this year, we look forward to returning again soon!

That staff member with the moustache on the Ghost Train at 23:51 was so rude last year during the Halloween event we actually put a complaint in. The Ghost train had failed to open and he was like "you have to go away" one of our group was sitting on a wall having a drink and he was like "go away now!" Jobsworth
Exactly when I went on it we were told that we had to be evacuated and had to stay on the train don't nothing for about an hour and a half
Instead we got a bouncy castle... :)
I went today! I loved all the rides (didn’t go on tidal wave cause it was closed) but in order my faves were
1) Nemesis Inferno
2) Colossus
3) The Swarm
4) Stealth
5) Saw the ride (very fun but really painful) 💖
We went to Thorpe Park in July 2017 (school holidays, so was busier). After analysing queue times we headed for Colossus instantly after entering the park. A 10 min queue and a great ride. The rest of the day, Colossus had a queue no less than 60 mins! Always head to Colossus first. :D

I was in the park on the day. Saw was quite rough on the front row but not on the back row but still is a really good ride. Stealth is awesome aswell. My first fav ride in the UK is Swarm then Nemesis and finally Saw that is my top 3 rides in the UK.
I think Rumber will be going soon lots of space there for the station for a hyper or a new themed area. Maybe we will see an RMC where loggers is 🤞🏻

I was at TP on Saturday, had a really good day. I was a little disappointed with the merchandise this year as it was mostly the same stuff as last year and I've got it already lol.
As for Loggers Leap, I'd love to see it come back as it was, it's one of the oldest rides there, it was the first ride I ever rode at Thorpe Park when I was a kid and it's just a classic.
I'm going to Thorpe Park on Sunday for Fright Nights. I'm so excited. I haven't been in a few years so I can't wait to go back. Love the vlog as usual!
No idea why but whenever I watch these videos I get butterflies and chills even though I know I'm not even there
Mack Hypercoaster is definitely up there with B&M Hypercoasters now. DC Rivals is insane. Would be good if you guys got one in Thorpe Park.
I think a hyper coaster going around the park would be great, having some good near misses with lots of the other coasters. It could then go into the woods (like 13) where loggers leap is SBNO and the station could be in the Canada Creek section of Old Town. I would love to see it cut through Inferno, so many near misses would make both rides better

The last time I rode Colossus, which must be a good half decade ago now, it was running two trains but the second got held on the track for 40 mins after the first train was held on the lift hill when a passenger claimed they weren't buckled in (they weren't).
Hopefully it will run 2 trains again soon!
Bethany Marsh there’s no way they weren’t secure, maybe the seatbelt wasn’t on but the restraint would be locked. Impossible for it to release randomly outside the station.

Wow that park has changed since I was last there. Love the vlog. Nemesis inferno is just a brill coaster. Colossus is still a great ride and with all them loops brilliant. Omg I remember Thorpe farm back in the day what a lovely place that was.

Thorpe Park is top of my favourites list with Alton Towers, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Manchester MCM Comic Con and Play Expo Event City Trafford Centre.

Im soo pleased you noticed saw as a painful experience... ive told staff about the jolt at the bottom of the drop but they were not interested. And yes it goes way too fast over the brake run it leaves me with a headache!!

Definitely liking the look of the improvements at the park. Areas such as Tidal Wave and Colossus have seen some repainting work and other changes look good as well.
Great vlog as usual. Merlin has too many horror themed rides. I liked the idea of a night club and roller coaster combined

Only just spotted myself now after 3 months lol 😂 walking into the nemesis inferno queue line just in front of you guys in my red hoody I actually remember talking to you all in the queue now. Operations were brilliant that day.

Also, yep. SAW is rough as heck now. Last time I rode it it was about 2-3 years ago, it was bad then, bet it’s even worse now haha. Great ride when it opened.

Annoys me just running 1 train on the coasters on quieter days - went to TP today and queue times up to 30 minutes so no re rides today and early closing at 4pm!

To know if nemesis inferno it’s on two trains last season one of them at the back had no wheel cover
X - with a new theme = long queues ... very long queues. Lets hope they work on keeping the wait interesting

What I would like to see is a B & M hypercoaster replace logger's leap. They could even beat Blackpool pleasure beach for having the UK's tallest coaster (that or the UK's first RMC hybrid, which would make sense since Alton replaced their log flume with a wooden type coaster)

Today Stealth, Colossus and The swarm was running on 1 train. It was ridiculous as Stealth takes ages to Unload. Still amazing trip though. Also Rush opened after 7 months today. Over all great.
IFP RedZ yeah I went today (27th) infuriates me just 1 train , we got there at noon and managed to do all the coasters and ghost train I’m a celebrity (no queue so why not!)
I’m off to Thorpe Park for the first time soon, sooo excited!

10:00 The Slammer is going to open again! I went recently and there was a sign saying (coming soon to Thorpe park...) and it was talking about how the slammer would soon be re themed to a walking dead style thing.
We're led to believe that this was part of the theming for the maze

I can't wait to go to Thorpe Park in 2019 since i'm planning a Europe trip to England, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands and Spain to go to lots of theme park and this is probably my second park of my trip (Chessington World of Adventures is first). Its going to be an epic trip.

I queued in that Fastrack cattle pen for well over an hour on a Fright Night in 2015. I don’t understand why you can’t buy them around the park like you can at Alton Towers.

Was here last year for Halloween. Again another local park! About half an hour away for me
It must be so surreal to walk around and have people spot and recognise you. Thanks for another great video mate. Shame about Derren Brown's Ghost Train, as it had a lot of promise. However, the few times that I have rode it, there were always technical problems of some description. A real shame and a true waste of money, from Merlin's point of view. I think they're going to struggle to make a return on this investment. Take care mate. :)
They need to get rid of storm surge. Not happy when it opened, and 6 years later, still not happy about it.

You're right, they did break the special effect of the train effect, as the smoke didn't come up enough to cover up the fake train arm. - saves £££ having no actors too.

Such a shame about the train effect not working anymore on the Ghost Train, it really was one of my favourite effects to the ride. Hope they get it back working soon!
Love your videos, really appreciate the time you take to make them. I have a question I am hoping you may be able to answer ? I am planning to go to Thorpe Park with the girlfriend this monday. We plan to use the Kelloggs discount coupon, but one get one free for entry. We also plan to go FastTrack unlimited for the day. Online price appears to be £50 each, which is very reasonable. Would this be more if we bought it at the park ? I am thinking to buy the Fast Track online and use the coupon at the gate ? That appears to be the cheapest option ? In which case, how do I get the fast track tickets ? Emailed ? And I present this to the park when I get there and buy the park entrance tickets ? I just don't want to do anything wrong and miss valuable time in the park since it closes at 4PM... What up with the early closing times of parks in this country anyway ? Anyway, hope you find time to reply before monday ! Keep up the fine work !
Thank you very much for watching! I'm really not to sure on this one, it would be best to contact the park directly for this information! The Merlin parks do close early mid week where as parks such as Drayton Manor and Blackpool Pleasure Beach open until at least 5pm
When I went to Thorpe park yesterday/ Sunday the 25 colossus was running on two trains and the swarm was, through out the entire day, a walk on queue

I find it ironic how Thorpe Park have changed the Stealth sign but haven't even bothered to change the 0-80 in 2.3 sign!

Why do they need to change that sign?
Because Stealth's launch speed has been altered a couple of times since opening in 2006. It was upgraded in 2007 to speed from 0-80 in 2.0 seconds, then altered once again in 2008 to 1.9 & then finally for 2010, 1.8, after they stripping the weight off the trains! So the sign should say 0-80 in 1.8 seconds. But I think it's slightly faster than 80 personally, something like 85mph.
Chubs 86 83 because it now launches in 1.8 and a lot of people think it goes a tad faster than 80mpg

I would love to see loggers leap return no need to retheme it at all just give it a bit of a refresh bit of paint and clean up really, and I would love to see a RMC coaster in the same area in the style of Twisted Timbers aswell as Loggers could be some excellent opportunities for some interaction such as guests waving from the boats over to the coaster etc, that would be my dream come true and it would be amazing but I doubt that they could do that
