Many in the comics industry knew that Finger co- created Batman. Also, check out the interviews by Batman writer/editor Dennis O'Neil ,Jim Steranko, etc, about how Finger was treated by Kane & DC Comics.
Kane's original drawings of Batman were prototypes. Finger's outfit changes for Batman were masterpieces.
That concept sketch of the blonde guy in red rights and black wings was traced from a Flash Gordon image at the time.
I read Bob Kane auto biography. I thought him to be a bit full of himself. He considered himself quite the ladies man bragging about how he dated Marilyn Monroe. I wasn't surprised to find out he stole most of the glory for Batman. He seemed like kind of a narcissist.
Bob was some dude with an idea and too unskilled to do it, he got someone who could do it for him, used him and did nothing to even credit Bill. Bob was a parasite that leaved his host the moment he got enough food (money) when he wouldn't have gotten where he did without Bill, it's sad but at least Bill's family got something out of it because people cared.

It’s even more complicated than you have shown in this video. You might want to do another video on Jerry Robinson. Who was instrumental in creating Robin? The boy wonder. Also, you might be interested in doing a video on the black bat, which was a poult magazine character, which originated a lot of concepts, which later became part of the Batman mythos. For example, Batman‘s gloves originally were on the black bat. About the man who laughs at early movie, which had a character who looks suspiciously like the joker. But you’re right about one thing Bob Kane came up with nothing dealing with Batman

Actually, a Joker looking character was originally in a silent movie called The Man Who Laughed. That's how he got the idea for the Joker.

Yup, Bill Finger made Batman. Everyone shits on Bob Kane nowadays and I get why but I don’t think either he should be hated on, I think they should both be treated as legends.

The reason why people shit on Bob Kane is because he took all the credit and discredited Jerry Robinson and Bill Finger poor Bill died alone and pennyless in his apartment when Finger made his concept a reality of Batman.

Bob Kane got the idea - bill finger fleshed him out and Kane failed to give credit where credit was due. He selfishly kept all the credit - it didn’t help that bill himself never made a stink about it when he was around - he needed legal representation- that’s not bobs fault bill needed to step up and fight his own fight. Bob Kane was as slick as heck he was greedy and that’s his legacy.

Like you said Batman is based on handful of pulp novels But Bill Finger and Bob Kane definitely "borrowed" heavily from the works of Walter B. Gibson the creator of the Shadow created in 1931, please look up the plup story Partners of Peril - written by Theodore Tinsley and the first Batman story the Case of the criminal syndicate.
Yes, this is true and verifiable by just reading the comic books. As well as seeing 'Zorro', 'The Man Who Laughs', and the artwork that Bob Kane traced to "create" a famous 'Batman' panel... really just general plagiarism and self promotion.

I remember reading about this in Wizard magazine way back in the day.
Kane was an opportunist and an obvious hustler whose only goal in life was to promote himself. If anyone doubts this they only have to watch the 'making of the two Joel Schumacher Batman movies' in which on one of these Schumacher makes a great play of pointing the finger (no pun intended) at Kane as the 'individual who created Batman'. You can then witness Kane's reply to Joel that issues out of the side of his mouth with the words, " 'atta boy!" That type of response speaks volumes about his attitude to it all right there.

Bob Kane still CREATED Batman. Just because Bill Finger changed the uniform doesn't mean he is the creator. Tim Burton changed the uniform too so does he get credit for being a co creator too? Other comic writers created villains, gadgets and locations too , are they also creators? No. Batman was Bob Kane's idea and creation !

The writers of the Post Haze Code Era of comics molded characters like Batman and Joker into what we know today. Prior to that, Joker was just a gangster with a clown aesthetic, but thanks to people like Frank Miller, we now know him as the insane terrorist and supervillain we all know.
