Thank you for an excellent educational video. In our area Residential buildings are not charged for demand, they are charged only for electric power consumption. The meter single or multi phase only measures KWH consumed per month.
For purposes of electrical distribution system design (transformer, PMT's, and wire sizes etc.) for each building plot, lot or multi-family building is assigned or sanctioned certain load in KW depending on size of plot, number of stories, and number of residential units in each structure.
Can you kindly confirm in the above stated circumstances "Connected or Sanctioned load" has nothing to do with KWH consumed or electrical bills.
Electrical loads in homes are either hardwired or plugged in (all the time or when needed). Either way they do not become a part of connected load unless they are plugged in and switched on (manually or automatically.)
If wattage of all load in the house is added together we would get "Total Load" but neither consumption nor Peak Demand. To measure and bill for "Peak Demand", meter must be capable of measuring and storing both "Peak demand" and KWH.
Recently my Utility K-Electric estimated our demand (without an itemized list of loads, application of a diversity factor, size of residence, number of occupants, historical pattern of electric power usage at the address (house is 8 years old and has had a registered but un-metered connection to power) to be 13 KW. The sanctioned load for 120 sq. yd. single family, single storey home is 4 KW.
We moved to this house on June 1, 2020. We are a retired couple and became owners of the house on April 7, 2020. We have paid all the bills received in a timely manner received our move-in.
We have a 3KW gas fired generator,which can run the entire house except three inverter AC's. I also prepared an electrical load schedule, with wattage/FLA's and typical usage. Our estimated monthly consumption comes to 296KWH.
Based on 13 KW load the utility generated a bill of Rs. 29438.00. We are the first resident/Owner who has actually paid all relevant dues and applied for a meter installation. The bill is arbitrary and punitive in our opinion. How can I convince the utility to be reasonable.

My previous sanctioned load 630 kva, contract demand 500 kva and MD was 240 kva.
If we add some equipment and total connected load becomes 800 kva, MD goes to 320 kva.
Now should I require to increase sanctioned load?
Because yet my MD is not reaching up to contract demand(500).
Can I keep sanctioned load on bill 630 kva as it is?
Note - I increased connected load to 800 but my MD not crossing 320 kva.
What is legal clause for it?

Is there any electrical equipment which can take the electricity from 2 phase and simultaneously pass the electricity to 2 electricity meter and further both the phase is passed through 1 stabilizer in the same house .. purpose is to lower the electricity cost .. but the problem is that if the electricity is cut in any of the 2 phase the stabilizer will pull electricity from 1 phase passing through 1 meter (extra cost will occur as passed electricity in that phase is half the house requires) .. So could you please tell me of the equipment that will take the electricity from 2 phase and if electricity is cut in any of the 2 phase the equipment will pull the electricity from 1 phase but pass it to 2 electricity meter in the house?????

Sir.. Mera meter. 0.5 ka hai (bpl vala connection) par mera light bill jyada aata hai..700 to725 unit average ,2 months. Mera power consumption hai... 7*9watt,1 refrigerator, 4 fan, 1 simple tv, 1hp submersible pump.

if home appliances are connected in parallel then why we add up the power ratings ? to fond value of connected load
Because in parallell, across all appliances voltage is same but all the parallel path have some current according to the rating of applliance. So total current is the sum of all parallel path current. Hence you need to add the rating of all the appliances.

I have 3Kw, 3ph, 4 wire electric service and meter. Its a digital meter. I can read current & previous month peak KW. And that is, Present Tariff T1 Max. KW 0.92, Present Tariff T2 Max KW, 0.69, Previous Tariff T1 1.63, Previous Tariff T2 1.05. How may I calculate peak demand from these numbers? Residential customers are only charged KWH consumption per month. No demand charge, therefore our power factor shouldn't matter. We don't have time of day billing either. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Md is calculated on 30 min average usage slots in a day , so total slots = 24×0.5= 48 slots of 30 minute each starting from 12:00 am to 12:30 and so on
For eg
If we use say from 2:00 pm 6kw for 10 minutest and 2 kw for 20 min so md = 6×10min = 60, 2×20 min= 40 so 60plus 40 =100/30 min = 3.33 kw (md)

Try to run your motor in alternate manners despine of running together, then you can prevent the penalty . Other wise you should enhance your connected load by filling application of load enhancement form in to your nearest distribution center or circle office. concern junior engineer will visit and enhance your load. In this way you can prevent penalty but your monthly electricity bill will be increase . so I suggest you to run your motor in alternate manners.
If I will see your electricity bill then I will suggest you best how it will overcome.

2KW sanctioned load agar 1.50 kw Md aata hai bhir Kabhi 500 watt hota hai to kya us month ke bill me MD 1.50 hi batayega
MD kisi bhi mahine ka maximum load hota hai. Agar kisi month 1.5 Kw ho gaya to fir next month kam load hone par next month ka MD kam ho sakta hai. MD har month change hota hai.
