Rippa vid mate and the way you describe hunting for novices is very good I hope some of them listen and learn, keep them coming and I'll watch them, oh by the way I subscribed to the Channel when I first watched it some time ago
Thanks so much Zeb for the insightful tips. As a newbie (and subscriber!) learning to tip the odds more in my favour, your vids are extremely valuable. Amazing country too. Well done and thanks again.
Good video very educational Zeb looks like your amongst pockets of deer one thing I like is point U make about a tip on deer find area make regular trips! That is so true luck will change.
Another awesome vid mate 👍. As a fellow hunter I couldnt film anything you do a bloody ripper job with what you’ve got mate. Living in your area we have some of the best deer hunting in Australia hey.
We are heading out on a couple of night backpack hunt for the second time. Was tossing up if I should ditch the hammock and go with the tarp. Just wondering how do u deal with bugs and things
Start out small and work into it, that way you can ease your way in and gain confidence. Plenty of people that know where I go think Im mad so its not for everyone but I enjoy the remoteness
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures yeah that’s the plan mate! Just going to get a few basics and try it out! I’m no stranger to hunting as I’ve been wondering the hills for a lot of years but only just started venturing into bigger country the last few years so thought I’ll give it a go
I use a sea to summit 10x10 fly a tent footprint for the ground mat a thermarest uberlit mattress SOL bivy bag and a Nemo sleeping bag. Thanks for watching.
At least you’re seeing them I’m not even doing that at the moment. Thinking I’m really doing something wrong or maybe I’ve changed something because I used to see them all the time
culls, an illegal hunting should be "whats happening" with deer numbers. there simply is no a back log of deer as expected, As Zebra shows through his videos, many miles away... there is not herds of deer roaming around :) golden years are over.
@@HillDogTV Hey Hilldog I've been hunting remote alpine areas for 18 years and I've not noticed an increase in deer numbers in that time. The problem deer are fringe dwellers and urban deer that are visible to the general public and road traffic. Deer near farm land and public roads need management from the government but alpine and remote populations are easily managed purely from wild dog predation and hunters.imo
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures ohh yaaaa, preechin to choir now G. keep it up... its good to see you go to so much effort in the back country and not really get the results you are after, that itself shows the realness imo. you aught be to be inspiring the next fella to go that extra mile...
@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures it will be interesting to see how you go next year inthe Alpine Park, your feedback post culling etc would be worthy a listen.
Shorten the duration of your call. Big stags don't give a rats about distressed calves but small stags sparing make a similar noise and that really pisses off the big boys.
if i don't say it no one subscribes if i say it i get people to subscribe but people like you get upset because I say it too much .... can't win! So what would you have me do?
Great to see u like to teach people . It’s how we all learn and bring in new blood 👍thumbs up
Thanks mate, Not everyone has someone to show them what to do so I like to give a bit away so maybe that someone can pick up a thing or to.

In VIC do you need to have navigation gear with you like in NSW, we are also required to book hunting days and report kills.
No nothing is required. I personally carry a epirb and obviously tell someone exactly where im hunting and when I will return
Hey Zebman. Another good vid mate. Iv got a pair of Leica binos for sale if you hear of anyone chasing. 12x50HD. excellent condition.
Hey Anton Ill keep an ear out see if anyone is looking.

No mate specialise on Sambar deer
Zeb. I find a bread bag full of good fert. Is worth it, in damp sunny clearings..it sweetens the grass .the deer respond well.. kiwi
Yeah righto, interesting.
the adventure is always real wit the Zee-bra .
Sick hustle on the DOG brus!
It was good just to get the rig down in the dirt and let some lead fly at fur rather than paper.
you make me laugh Hilldog. Im trying to keep it real!

It's a cannon that's for sure ! 😁
What's wrong with the stag, a bit angry?
There was 3 stags on that face so I think he had a bit of built up aggression.
