Actually very nice for more than casual boating. I think I could live on something like this. I had a little "wow" moment when I saw that micro washing machine. Nice.
+James Green just think of it as if you choose to have a bigger bed or make a proper wall for a bedroom, you'd have to loose something else or ~~ maybe the lounge ! BTW The expression is "Other than that...........". Cheers, Alison. xoxox
Nice use of space but they really need to utilize the rooftop for a hanging out area. Maybe they do but they didnt show it. I saw a ladder going up. On houseboats Ive rented, the roof is the chill spot. Just my two cents
How does it handle the waves? Keeping in mind that I have not piloted an Escape 2 but own an Adventure Craft 2800 Houseboat, this style of boat is NOT a trawler. It is not intended to replace a trawler type boat. This IS an improvement over a pontoon style boat, and it will handle the waves in a similar way as a large pontoon boat will. The advantage that the Boat a Home has over my Adventure Craft Houseboat is that it doesn't have a cockpit in the bow that can fill when a large wave breaks over the bow of the boat.
@@davidburnham42 I made this Comment 6 years ago! So I had to re-watch it! I am still against the carpet - sand embedded in carpet is a no go for me! The only other thing I note, being 6 years older, is the door swinging open against the ladder; I would have a problem getting around the door to go up the ladder to the roof deck. But I still love the it!
I really like this, we have a 30ft river-boat which is too big to trailer around & the Marina berth is $3000 per annum plus extra in water costs. Boat-a-home makes sense to me & we also own a $ 80,000 caravan so we pay insurance on both. Think its time to sell up both and get the lower maintenance option. Well done guys OZ made should be proud.
only problem is normal houseboats are aluminum pontoon instead of fiberglass. we usually run ours on the beach that can be rocky at times. the do make hull savers, it's a glue on rubber strip to protect hull
You gotta make one just for two, half of that size, and price, and utilize the space more efficiently. Solar panels on top! Then you’re going to be Australian rock stars !
Looks promising, we're looking for something similar but we have 2 kids and friends.. that model looks comfortable for 2 people not many more. My suggestion make a sportsman version with more seating for people to sit and sleep with a larger back deck for fishing, dining, kayaks/canoes, toys...
No streamlining, it would be a gas guzzler. Flat bottom, it would rock like a cork in a Jacuzzi. It presents a high flat superstructure to the air and has no keel, it would steer like a cow and could not go out safely in anything but the calmest weather. I sail the Norfolk Broads which are calm inland waters and I see launches similar in shape to this. Even with bow-thrusters, In a moderate breeze they struggle to moor up even along a straight section of river. Us sail boats give 'em a wide berth. If you're gonna be pranged, it'll be by a boat that shape. My advice: You'd regret the expense. Get a caravan and strap a dingy on the roof! Much better to have two items, each designed for one job, than one item badly designed for either job. If you actually want to LIVE on the water, full-time and don't expect to do any real sailing, this would be adequate. You'd have to find a very secluded mooring come winter
I've seen some really large wakes going out behidn soem cabin cruiser on the lake. I'd like to see this thing take a good 4 foot wave right in the bow with that door open!!
That's the point of this and the Caraboat! The ability to use as a camper when needed! If you travel for more than a day ( which in Australia and the U.S. is a distinct possibility ) you have your camper with you and don't need a hotel room! So, leveling on land can be an issue! Wouldn't be with me, but, my ex used to get car sick just going up a long hill, with some could be a REAL problem!
You don't need leveling jacks. Go back to the old school days when you put wood blocks under the tires that need them and you can level it just fine. So many people are spoiled to the point they don't even know how to level a trailer. Besides unless it's a motorhome the jacks that are recommended for travel trailers are only for stablizing not to level the trailer. You can twist a trailer frame if torquing the stabilizing jacks to much because there frames are not built to crank on them. Or just let the air out of the tires on the high side LOL.
Perfect... Stunning, do you need a license to operate this beautiful boat? I'm looking at camper vans etc but I LOVE the water, how much lv? Fabulous video too thank you
One question: if you are touring in this on the other side of the country and you want to spend more than one day in it on the water, what do you do with your tow vehicle and trailer to ensure they are safe while you are away?
Reminds me of a SeaCamper of the 1970s and 80s. This doesn't come with the upper bridge (an option?). ;-) The SeaCamper I saw had twin inboard Volvo Penta engines (80s hade one Penta), stairs on stern (flips down). I'm not keen having stairs blocking the pilots vision.
At 6-7 million that's unreasonable hell I could buy a condo at every lake I like on the coast where I live and just live in them full-time nobody wants to tow around millions of bucks unless it's palletized Dollar bills who would even insure that stupid AH
Its a standard outboard installation, the same as any trailer boat, they have electric tilt, any short shaft 30 hp will fit, the engines don't need to be raised when launching as the CaraBoat floats off the trailer, makes it really simple.
I built my own house-boat,not that complicated,the most important is the base,four huge heavy-duty "alu floats"filled with Marine foam,then a "plexi-Glass platform (4 inches thick)10X4 Meters,then light wood,and "dynamat-insulation all over,two powerful Jetski engines,two stages living spaces,Solars panels,Gaz heaters,All around LED lights,large rear platform,for fishing and swimming(Two tons)all.TV,BBQ,beds and fridges/ freezers,sleeps 8 people easy,cost me 20K to build,now I need a trailer to"sail" MONTANA lakes,(Salmon/trouts)smoker on board and Anchors.......!!!!!!
It's a death trap! In bad weather conditions a sudden squall could roll it over the surface like a cardboard box. Lose power out there with inclement weather approaching it's too late to regret your purchase. Anyone who takes their family on one has their lives in their hands. With a lot of people onboard it would be susceptible to dangerous listing when everyone moved to one side to look at something. But it's that wind catching high sided box on top of the hull that makes this craft seriously dangerous in my opinion as a former 500tn Master Upon Oceans.
I can see myself living in this full time. Love you can take this pretty much anywhere just need a truck or SUV to tow it. But for the price of this one they show would be the one I would want..... But when you can buy an older houseboat that is over 800sqft that would be extremely more comfortable and can have more than 1 friend over and be comfortable when your in the cabin and still be able to take it out an go all over the lake and river. Idk if paying almost 200k is worth the only fact you can take this anywhere a lot easier an cheaper...
Wow, that explanation about everything was extensive and informative. Also you brought way too much food and drink for just one day out on the water. But a nice boat overall.
Actually very nice for more than casual boating. I think I could live on something like this. I had a little "wow" moment when I saw that micro washing machine. Nice.
Bob G me too.
Nice but try to add a small room (descent bed)
Anther than that really nice
+James Green just think of it as if you choose to have a bigger bed or make a proper wall for a bedroom, you'd have to loose something else or ~~ maybe the lounge !
BTW The expression is "Other than that...........". Cheers, Alison. xoxox
Bob
I did too, a washing machine, you gotta be kidding, I was thinking.
I could soooo live on this full time forever!
Nice use of space but they really need to utilize the rooftop for a hanging out area. Maybe they do but they didnt show it. I saw a ladder going up. On houseboats Ive rented, the roof is the chill spot. Just my two cents
It looks like there are some nice improvements from the first series model!
That’s all I’d need to stay at the lake a few weeks and love it!
,
One of the Best things I've seen on TH-cam
That is a very cool boat! Love the trailer that turns it into a semi rv home!
An RV that floats can take you places in good weather and flat water you haven't been before.
Really like this houseboat. Love the entrance metal steps. 😎
you should consider putting links to your products in the description, you'd get some sales for sure
Big missed opportunity.
I would buy one tomorrow if they came to the USA
jon doe, Land and Sea Trailerable Houseboats are in the US!
jon doe yeah it would to go thru coastguard regulations
hi , please can you send me the web
thanks
Are you banned in Google? )))
they're terrible!!! don't buy
Holy crap ! Look at the size of that trailer ! That’d be like driving around towing the Titanic ! What a pain in the ass !
We used to have a seacamper 24 ft which this is a copy of, It was powered by a 165 hp merc that we have skied behind. Was a lot of fun back then.
Very nice. If I were younger by a few decades, I'd really like one.
the washer was a cool plus. good job guys. great product
I live in The Netherlands, we have a very similar one built in the 1960s.
Looks awesome, but I want know/see how well it does with waves.
How does it handle the waves? Keeping in mind that I have not piloted an Escape 2 but own an Adventure Craft 2800 Houseboat, this style of boat is NOT a trawler. How cute is that. My dream is to live full time on the water. It’s coming soon.
This is amazing. The only thing that I don't like are the carpets - trying to keep that clean would drive me crazy.
We use a dust buster that has an exter long handle.
@@davidburnham42 I made this Comment 6 years ago! So I had to re-watch it! I am still against the carpet - sand embedded in carpet is a no go for me! if it makes it to Southwest USA lakes and rivers it'll need Air Conditioning.
Nice unit.
We'd seriously consider buying one.
Dive Bar Casanova $145,000
Cari D Fk...
AC is a must have.

Looks like it could be used for camping on land as well as on the water but true lets see it in salt water action. You can float anything in a pond.
Boats float BETTER in salt water 2/a gbh. DERP!
Awesome, I would definitely use it for boating and camping
I don't think this would fare well in any choppy waters whatsoever, but what do I know about boats?
only problem is normal houseboats are aluminum pontoon instead of fiberglass. we usually run ours on the beach that can be rocky at times. the do make hull savers, it's a glue on rubber strip to protect hull
That doll sized clothing machine was cute.
Really nice.. Although I would have liked to see more of the top - curious if it has teak flooring up there or if there is a nice big sunpad.
8u
We throw a couple of floating beanbag bag chairs on the top deck and cruise under the Bimini in Florida.
You gotta make one just for two, half of that size, and price, and utilize the space more efficiently. Solar panels on top! Then you’re going to be Australian rock stars !
Looks promising, we're looking for something similar but we have 2 kids and friends..

I’ve always been interested in boats like this one.
Only worry is I believe it really is for calmer waters only. Any wave over 2 ft would crash the front end while moving.
No streamlining, it would be a gas guzzler. Flat bottom, it would rock like a cork in a Jacuzzi. epicdeuce lol, that would be hilarious!!
A comfortable rv fit for water, how cool is that.
for completely calm waters, this would be perfect. anything other than that, it will turn into a very leaky submersible.
This would not be something that you would take out on Lake Superior. That lake has too much chop.
Michael Mack more like any house boat, are you a fellow Minnesotan?
Wrong ,its better than you think .but it wasn't made for the North sea
wow 4 minutes went by before showing the inside
Ikr I was waiting. Thinking ok when do we get to see the inside completely?!
Can't imagine this out on the Great Lakes in any type of weather.
Yeah buddy
What a beautiful design. I love it
well designed for back waters lakes and rivers, would be perfect for me in south Florida and in the keys, any dealerships planned?
Very very nice home boat. Thank you!
Not bad, but I would like to see a better bed situation for the main person. Something more secluded.
Nice hybrid boat/RV - If you can, have a link to your website in your description.
The truck at the loading ramp was right hand drive so I'm guessing Australia or NZ.
Great concept one of the better I've seen. However I didn't see any leveling jacks. Never camped where I didn't need to level the camper.
It goes on water. Which happens to be self levelling.
Blaine Verhelle you watch the video? its a boat.
That's the point of this and the Caraboat! The ability to use as a camper when needed! oldschooldiy caraboat

Would be good for large lakes.
nice, like the specially designed trailer also
I would love to have that on Lake Powell...
this could easily do the fresh water portions of the great loop in the USA and even much of the intercoastal.
Coolest thing I’ve ever seen.
One question: if you are touring in this on the other side of the country and you want to spend more than one day in it on the water, what do you do with your tow vehicle and trailer to ensure they are safe while you are away?
GranpaSLJ lock the doors and hope they don't have blasters
nice scenery. what about vessel?
where is this at ? great video
Love to get me one of these ! ! !
Video doesn't show it, but it has bath shower? Front door seems to open wrong way for access to ladder?
Reminds me of a SeaCamper of the 1970s and 80s. This doesn't come with the upper bridge (an option?). ;-)

All well and good until there are a few waves, take that to the Great Lakes and show us how much fun it is.
But very nice boat. I wish you could say where to buy one like this and how much do they run in price ranges?
Homeless Ron Baja $145,000
That's so cool I need one of those
Would work nicely as an RV too!
WHEN THEY DONT TELL YOU HOW MUCH IT IS YOU PROBABLY CANT AFFORD IT !
ddm220 ..hahahaaa the only expensive thing this world is to nake someone alive fro dead ..still you can afford that
Around 60 k
105k US.... Unless I messed up conversion,,, but yeah thats insane for what you could get better for that money... im sorry... I like it, but no.

Maybe go check out their website before shooting your mouth off
Can you convert motor to solar run or electric ( electric motor/ solar panels?)
Also, can you use as a tiny house on land too?
Neat boat. The video was well done too.
Can it be bought in USA and how much please? Would love this as a home!
Mellonvurse Competitive battler $145,000
excellent boat , I would buy one day !
NICE! Really like that!!
Such a nice houseboat! But it was definitely expensive. Because the fridge is empty
A-ha-ha )))
jwserge cbbsb
Jbbnjkkkkoj
Cute option for the fresh water... Depending on the price point..
Clint Lundie $145,000
How much? Love it!
devour1 $145,000
very nice rig, figure the price tag will scare you to death.
z28pawpaw - $145,000
I love this boat a home! How much??
so how come there arent any slide outs on house boats thats the first thing i would do if i was building a houseboat
That a couple ebikes and 50k and my wife and I would take a 6 month long camping trip.
The lake where I'd like to use it has a mean depth of 9 ft. Would that be enough?
nice! but, where's the solar and wind tech?
Are these available in the USA yet?? Very interested!
seating for guests? frame and enclose porch maybe? storage capacity?
Wish we had the Aussie innovative off road and water rvs here int the states..OYE!!
The American spirit of freedom is alive..god bless the U.S.A. and Australia!!
Apparently you haven't seen the "Van Yacht" WOW
Where can we see that?
how much> base and upgrade?? any number please, i need to saved up and run it to the misses
Cool, dont need a marina, just a parking lot when not aboard!
Some hard thinking went into naming this boat.......top marks for that guy!
I like this drum lick
Ok ironic it’s being promoted in March of 2020!
So how hard would it be to get parts for this in the USA? Is there a way to chain and lock that engine up when using it as an RV?
These motors have hydraulic lifts to raise them up in a travel position that also locks them in place so they don't drop down and hit their prop.
Its a standard outboard installation, the same as any trailer boat, they have electric tilt, any short shaft 30 hp will fit, the engines don't need to be raised when launching as the CaraBoat floats off the trailer, makes it really simple.

How Beautiful yes I would Live on this My new home WOW I LOVE IT! ! !
I wouldn't mind that. It's nice. I love it!!! Sweet!!🤗👌👌👍👍
Very nice!
Love to see this all electric, with 2 electric outboards
Yes I bet a pair of 15 feet pound of thrust 12 volts motors could push it right along.
Have you seen the Torqeedo outboards? Really cool!

Curtis Sutphin $145,000
Anything will float on a pond. A storm in the middle of the lake and you'll be in deep trouble...
Camera man is jumping around to make much. Pan the whole interior SLOWLY!!!
how much is the cost if we need one .. well in the near future..
Mr Lee Echi Kirikie $145,000
Very Nice!
Better design than caraboat.
Wow, that explanation about everything was extensive and informative. Also you brought way too much food and drink for just one day out on the water. But a nice boat overall.
Where can we test drive this vessel ?
This is very neat...
