The last question. There is another thing you can do. Ask the Holy Spirit. Ask him, sit quiet and let him answer. Find scriptures that agree with the answer, if you can't find any, that means you came up with the answer, but for me most of the time, the Holy Spirit speaks to me and answers either through other scripture or just a casual answer and I look up scripture that supports this answer. I was told when i didn't understand scripture to skip it , continue reading the rest, pray for understanding the next time you read it and schedule s time during the week to review that same passage. What i found is when i did i gain new understanding or the Lord would wake me up to read it again and when i did i understood it more.

Jon, I don't know if you can answer this in a Q&A or somebody else can.. It's quite some time (months) that a lot of people and me are praying for my studies.. are being crucial for what God has chosen me to do.. (at least.. prayers leaded to guidance and just the "life" hand of God steared to).. My studies are Always on the border numbers. Their final note is never "positive" (above 5,5). Some time ago, a Church healing room who prayed for me said me that they felt a clear message of God that I should not leave school or downgrade (I live in the Netherlands). But why it keeps going bad all the time? I really don't know more what to do, or how to pray.. it starts to eat my faith and I don't want that!! I am not really interested if I will ever attend university.. but the job I'm doing requires me to finish school.. what should I do ?
Hey Jon. I always love watching your videos. So much practical Christian insight for today's culture. I have a question related to the first question on the versions of the Bible. There are a lot of translations that are not faithful to the true message of the Gospel. Is it a wise answer that whatever gets you to read the Bible is good enough a translation for that person? P.S I do not have a personal favourite translation, but I do believe that some translations are more faithful to the original text.
Jeffrey George as I said, there are some who would say that certain versions are "untrue" or "false". I have not yet found one that I find to be totally off base. At least not within the traditional canon of translations. NIV, NLT, ESV, The Message, KJV, etc. obviously there are probably lesser known translations out there that could be totally off base. I guess I am speaking under the assumption that the fact that the person watching is deciding between the major translations.
Oh, I have a question. How can I have access to the Holy Spirit? I am a new believer and I wonder whether I truly understand the presence of the Holy Spirit..
I can't survive without reading scripture now. 🤔 I don't know why I spent my earlier life starving my soul unto death before I turned to Him for help. Now if I do not read, I suppose it means the same as not eating which will in turn make me irritable. Does that make any sense to content with a bad tempered white bunny?
I like to think that time travel is possible in the future because of the naked man running away after Jesus was betrayed. It was mentioned seemingly at random, but due to the fact (according to fiction, which is very logically plausible) that past people can't perceive future cloths (Doctor Who, tenth doctor, episode with Queen Victoria and the werewolf) or that only your physical body can time travel (Time traveller's wife) the naked man could be someone who time travelled to Jesus's time to meet him or see if it was real, but had strict instructions not to interfere with anything in order to prevent history from changing, which was why he was running away. I know that this is just a whole lot of mumbo-jumbo, but don't give up, maybe you'll do it :D Don't worry I know it's not true, but it'd be funny if it was
I've just read the bible in 10 minutes..because I skipped over the bits I couldn't understand.. No I didnt..but that's how it is for me.. It just doesn't make sense to me, why is it so difficult?
Alex Ast you're looking at the pre destination perspective. God did mention in the Bible that humans have free will. So why not. Also Gods plan is greater than what we can comprehend
