Its likely they got knocked off by accident. If you are driving under emergency response, blue lights should definitely be on. Hopefully the white officers car that followed behind gave them a heads up on the radio.
Bots sure about UHPL it’s probably some Pump Ladder. CAFS however Is compressed air foam system (CAFS) you get RP CAFS or WL CAFS. RP CAFS is a rescue pump and foam unit. WL CAFS is a Pump ladder and foam unit
@@Surrey999 Well, only 1 was left behind, 3rd from left - and not clear if that is an in service appliance or not - I assume the 4th truck to roll was a retained crew? It depends on how many of those trucks are operational if it was full house or not!!
Basingstoke have 3 fire engines, an ALP, an RSV (heavy rescue) and command support van. 2 fire engines are whole time 1 fire engine is retained (respond from home) The ALP and RSV are often ‘double jumped’ from what I understand. This means one crew will crew both vehicles and take which ever is needed, leaving the other unmanned and unavailable. The incident support van is crewed by retained firefighters. So even in a full turn out, you’d never have completely empty bays at this station.
Probably the same reason american firemen wear those ridiculous leather helmets: more concerned about how they look rather than doing the job properly.
Great Catches
Thank you 😊 👍
Nice catch
Cheers! :)
Why did the first appliance turn its lights on in the bay but then didn't respond under lights?

Appliance? No, these are vehicles.
@@buzman1985 They are known and referred to as, "appliances".
why did the third engine take a little bit longer to leave? What’s the firefighters not there?
Reserve firefighter engine company
The 3rd engine is a turntable engine which is always 3rd to leave as it is a bit slower cause of weight
Plus they can't all leave at the same time jees
It might be manned by Retained or On Call firefighters who have to respond from home or their primary employment location .
@@jonathanwood3659 I think JoexxPACMANxx meant the fourth appliance
Nice!👍
Thank you 😊

What do the "UHPL" and "CAFS" above the windscreens signify?

Ultra High Pump Ladder, because Basingstoke has a lot of high rise offices and apartment buildings
UHPL-ultra high pressure lance and CAFS- RP Compressed air foam system
Two full time pump and platform? Third retained?.
👍👍
Nice wouldnt say it was a full house though as R1 and C3 didnt go!
In a sense yes and in other sense no 👍
I agree 👍

2 left behind😂
Really???? Must be not needed 🤔
@@hampshireemergencyvidsuk In that case your title is wrong, it is not a 'full' house.

@@jaymejohnson3934The small van is crewed alongside the ALP and RSV by their crew. They have their own crew of two at the start of each shift
Hang on, that 3rd pump ain’ mobilized
It ain't a pump....
The third pump is the Retained 👍
@@hampshireemergencyvidsuk The retained is still a pump.
Didn’t realise this was the USA?
Thought it was??
@@hampshireemergencyvidsuk it’s a fire station not a house, I think he was being sarcastic, I assumed you mean full house like a pack of cards.
Why are Euro rigs so ugly and terrible? At least they have a great American siren and Whelen light bar on the first-out rig.

L take
nah to be fair in this case they look like a kids toy lol (besides the turntable)
Yeah no offense, American trucks are definitely uglier and 100% way too big for no reason.
