RC ADVENTURES - The REAPER - Dual Motor Mega Traxxas Summit with Aluminum Rims

- www.RCSparks.com - LOT's of upgrades completed in my Traxxas Summit 4x4 Truck! Dang, sorry I couldn't do a more "in detail" video series, but I have been very busy as of late. BUT! None the less I wanted to do an UPDATE video for you so you can see exactly what has been going on! The Kershaw Designs Dual Motor setup is PERFECT for what I need. It will give my Traxxas Summit ample torque and speed. The all aluminum bead lock rims are slightly heavy, but I seem to like it as its lowering the center of gravity. I do want some upgraded springs for the rear of the truck though.. so it stops dragging it's butt around.
I look forward to trying out these IMEX Jumbo Kongs. I am glad I upgraded the plastic Traxxas Servos to the Savox Waterproof Metal Gear servos. I did add aluminum steering horns, to remove any flex from the steering.
I hope you enjoy the video my friends, and maybe some of you may even find it helpful!
Thanks for watching :-)

That is freaking awesome!! Blessings to you and your family Medic and congrats on being a new Dad. I'm looking forward to the running video!
Never apologize Medic! You, your family and your videos are worth the wait. Awesome Summit - can't wait to see it tearing up the outdoors!
I REALLY enjoy the way you present! I'm recently into monster truck RC's (including a Summit) and have been watching lots of videos. I truly appreciate all of the RC enthusiasts who are nice enough to share their knowledge with all of us. However, many of them are pretty dry, hesitant or stumbling in their presentation. Some even combine that with horrible video quality. No matter how knowledgeable they are, a poor presentation will eventually drive me away. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with an upbeat presentation and excellent camera work! Kudos!
Very cool man! Good choice going with the Kershaw setup. In my opinion they are much better suited to the summit than a brushless arrangement. You will find this thing even more capable of climbing up, over, through anything! (If that's possible lol). Good times! Can't wait to see this behemoth rage on!!!
I still love that no matter how long you are doing this, you still don't forget the new guys. I'm referring to you explaining what bead locks are.
That's a big-ass truck medic! Very cool indeed
Kershaw Design is pretty awesome. I converted my HPI Savage 21 from nitro to electric using one of his conversion kits. Amazing, fits like a glove, I've never seen this Savage to so damn fast! It's set with a Castle Creation Mamba Monster 2 and a 2200kv CC motor, with 2x 3s LiPo batteries. That thing's an absolute beast!
Those rims are the most badass rims I have ever seen!!!!
Oh this one's way back Morris the baby ? Lol he's a big boy now lol . Great job it's great to go back and watch these . Just great to be here
Midic, I think its safe to say you are the luckiest man alive, you have a beautiful wife, a really cute little boy, your loaded with money AND you've got the best summit on this earth! ☺️
love the builds Hi from Fresno California USA !
And you never bore us. Always looking forward to your vids
this is the most AWESOME summit i've ever seen
great looking summit and the hydro dipping is the way to go.
I always thought the summit was bad ass stock but yours is truly bad ass.
Sweet ride medic! Keep up the great work. Makes me get back into the garage and work on stuff!!!

What a monster!!!! Great job Medic you've done it again. Thanks for the update, get some rest buddy lol
Reaper is looking good. Nice choice of shirts too lol. Keep up the good work bro, your awesome!!
Ha Ha Ha ......It's alive....Monster Medic RC , awesome build wheel and tire combo is killer and that pitdawg hydro body is badass
MEDIC, if you want to know a trick for brittle control arms and stuff, try boiling them in water for about 10 minutes to re-humidify them. That will help keep their strength and allow them to bend a little. SUMMIT looks amazing!!!
I have been watching u for ever is a great past time I watch your videos over and over what I would like to see is behind the scene and making of your off road videos fails retakes and bloopers to see what goes into making one Thanks man keep up the awesomeness
Beauty of a rig medic!
NICE! One of your best yet my friend! Was a little skeptical of how the body would look with those massive kongs, but it seemed to work out amazing! Would love to own a rig like this one day!
Even to today’s standards that is one bad ass truck. Great job
I can tell your a super nice guy bye your big smile ! God bless!
Cool truck dude! Love the Kongs.
That is looking really boss, man! Love the style of this one
I ALWAYS enjoy your show! It's awesome
the best RC show in the world
THIS IS SOOOO BOSS!! The body looks awesome, the tires look awesome! The bossness of the truck is off the scale. lol! I have a Losi LST (The original) That thing has huge tires, but, MAN! Those Jumbo Kongs are gigantic! I can't wait to see a running vid...Wait, you uploaded one earlier...Well, I know where I'm going now!
Damn, that's one sweet rig!
Very nice rims the Reaper is looking good
Just go with body pins and good job with the Simmit NICE
Jus stop medic u hav reached the full level of awesomeness and greatness. Keep up the god work medic awesome job
Slam that body down yo! It's a Rat Rod man! :o)
Looking boss mate! Those rims & tires are off the hook, they got a lot of screws in them bead rings that's for sure!
AWESOME!! Maybe one of the next models i'll try to build.
That's a very nice ride medic. My friend destroyed his summit because he had brushless motors in running off of a 12s lipo and went off of a ramp like the super man ramp.
sick ride bro! cant wait to see some running video, a Death Metal soundtrack will go perfect on this Reaper monster truck XD
Should be cool when it's done. Love the lid.
Those guys are up in Woodbridge, Ontario. It is just north of Toronto, about an hour's drive from East Toronto where I live. They have a nice shop up there, been a few times :)
This is pretty cool medic... Wish I had a trail truck now... THANKS lol congrats to you btw!
that thing is going to raise some hell in the snow. I think that screw you picked up at the end goes to the back right wheel
Great job as usual, Medic!
Now that is a sweet set of upgrades! I like it!!! :)
Love your builds man... i spotted the tamiya jeep on the wall seems like you have alot of projects for the future of rc adventures
Looking forward to the first running vid og this beast!
Amazing absolutely the coolest rc you've built
like what did with the summit and congratulations on the new addition in your family.
Lovin it medic. Can't wait for some action vids
Looks sick keep up the great work and congrats on the son
man that is a cool concept truck:-):-) Loving the work:-) Thanks for sharing
The Jumbo Kongs are still available if you call IMEX. They have the beadlock sets available too
I just finished upgrading my Summit also! I called it; Truckantula! ;)
Great vid again. An already great truck made greater.
" bonjour " amazing truck !! great work , I wait to see in action , soon after you dad work !! , LOL :-)
Just seen this.. Love the summit!!
The wheels are awesome, I think it's a lot of money for rims, but everything is expensive in these sizes.. Very good looking. ^^
hay medic, the summit is looking awesome on those jumbo kongs. i just noticed something though when you put the that amazing body on. the front bumper on the summit covers up most of the grill and the headlights on the body shell, i think it might look much cleaner and more mean from the front view if the bumper was either removed or mounted further down, just a thought, hopefully you can try it out in the next video. love your work.
bad ass truck medic cant wait to se it geting dirty
should make a kind of monster truck out of it :) it would have the best rims for it , great work :)
I love your truck so much!
Medic if it wasn't for you I never would of got an RC thanks so much wanted one so much since I saw your first video of the short course.Ps it's a EXC torment short course so much fun in the snow.
The Front bumper needs to go. and then you put the door of the body spitting the tires and it will look amazing. well done Medic!
Thanks for letting me share a thought
There ARE lots of plastics out there that are not brittle in winter at all. Bayer, Duponts Hytrel I think it is is about the best. Just as strong no matter what, and it comes in a variety of hardnesses. I've been using this stuff with NO failures ever, and this is in a very abusive snow product. Jusy my two cents
I can't wait for MY Rc, I'm gonna get it at Christmas.
Didn't know that about why it sags in the back. Thanks medic. So from what you say the springs will correct that ?
cant wait to see its first run
you going to do steel cvd's? I was able to put mip shafts in mine, they were great. Love the idea of neodymium magnets over clips, awesome tip, thx!
badass truck medic good job
Hey Medic, you should ditch the summit front bumper and show off that hot rod grill, dont trim it!
i agree
Have you ever tried dry lubricants or white lithium grease? I really like the lubricating properties of the graphite and lithium base lubricants.
hey! im lonewolf. i LOVE rcs. and i might be getting a nitro. i support my local hobby store the people are nice. i love your channel. so yeah. i love the builds and repairs. it helps me learn. keep it up mate. :) -Lonewolf
the reaper looks like a farm tractor but I have to admit really cooool
The bottom arms bump into the diff covers. It happened on my summit so just an fyi. Great video keep it up!!!
that looks awesome!
Medic I love the bumper setup on the front of this rig. Where would I be able to purchase one from. Our hobby stores in Oz are pretty bland. Also have you done a video for the traxxas e revo 1/8th I had a search but couldnt fine one. Cheers mate.
Oh my sweet jesus. This truck looks effing nice! Those tires, that body! But, instead of buying two revolver 700's, which are basically titan 775's, why haven't you bought the DeWalt single or dual motors? The single dewalt has a huge amount of power, it is rebuildable and the battery life will be much longer that with twin motors. Anyway, this truck is my favourite truck on earth. Period.
You mention you had Integy A-Arms installed on this SUmmit. What made you switch back to Plastick?...
That's bad ass medic I wish I could do the things you do but there's always the $$$ money problem but I really do like watching your TH-cam channel :-)
Totally AWESOME
I'm not a Traxxas fan, but I do love those rims, but I have always wanted a pair of Ofna Monster Pirate rims and tires or Clod Busters now those are some hard too find rims and tires.
Are the rear a- arms the rpm tru track or the stock style? I installed the tru tracks on my revo and I am very happy with them. I did not install the rpm hubs on the front though, just the a-arms. I did the steering mod for a tighter turning radius and did not want to change it.
Its looking great!!
Also the sag in the back of any vehicle is good for take offs. gives u better traction off the line.
Hard to believe this was 6 years ago darn I feel old
i have a summit and im about to make it brushless going to try the t8 1700 kv with an 1/8th scale viper vtx8 hopefully its awsome and i dont break to much
Nice rig! I am liking Reaper more and more. Do you think the truck will handle the tires and motors?
Wow soooo Amazing truck thx for all the tips you give it
