In this episode we decided to challenge ourselves and hunt fish using only a Hawaiian Sling! Turns out It was a lot more difficult then we expected. Surviving using a Sling, Gathering wood, Starting a fire , Catch Clean and Cooking fish all in one episode. Had some good laughs and good vibes. Hope y'all enjoy. See you on the next one. And ya I think 3 prong would be a great challenge. Some of the BI guys I dove with in the 70s used the Hawaiian sling hinge gun setup without the hinge. Across the chest bow and arrow style. Super accurate. Heavy rubber and custom heavy shafts that would bust an uhu in two if it was a bad shot.

I use the old skool method of band and springsteel shaft. Search your fishes select only one from the pack, as your descending adequate belt- weights would be best for less movements as you descending towards the depths. Slowly pull back on shaft following your target, as you slowly leveling yourself (15ft from target) deciding (hoping) where the fish will go to where you want them to turn then you take that shot.
Solid advice bro. Imma keep that in mind.. Imma also look into the springsteel shaft that sounds interesting

It looks like your gun stock hole is a little bit to BIG for the shaft, when you release the "shaft" it tends to "WHIP". Make hole 0.010" bigger than the shaft, that will eliminate shaft from whipping out from wood-gun-stock...
