Sensational episode , i don't think the younger generations can truly appreciate how records and cassettes were the only real source of listening to music back in the golden days 70s 80s . Ive got approx 4k vinyl records collected over decades , selling them would be like selling one of my feet or hands ... just can't do it cuz they're attached to me . BTW there is only 2 types of music ........ Heavy and Metal 🤘🤘🤘
Nor could they appreciate the amount of hours & effort it took young budding musicians to figure out how to play a tune note for note off an album with only a record player to use to learn from either. Knowing first hand myself how hard it was sitting down for hours constantly spinning a record back & forth with the needle was crazy. Not to mention how many albums I practically ruined by doing it. Yet at the end of the day it built character & was worth it to me anyway. Just keeping it a buck here ya dig? ++Peace Funk & Rock n' Roll 4 Your Soul My Friend++ 🤘😜🤘
Jim bought me and a buddy of mine a few beers back in 2005. Super cool guy. Got to talk music, and bullshit. Talked about AC/DC and which album was best between Highway to Hell and Flick of the Switch.
I knew this Metal Maniac when he was just a teenager..We used to go record hunting and Keraang Magazine buying together back in the early 80's in So.Florida. We haunted places like Open Books & Records and Sids Records & Tapes. He was always a funny, sarcastic mofo and would rag the crap out of me when I'd put on some Les Dudek or some other non metal guitarist i was obsessed with at the time.. Lol! All around good dude. Hey Jim, if you see this.. I still have 6 Peaches crates of vinyl and all my tapes and VHS boots too. Glad you are still doing great brother! 😊
Jim is one of my best friends..we were roommates in the 80s..we would drive around with 400 empty beer cans in his car and rock posters and flyers covering the windows... LoL..Good times
I was at the show in Evansville IN. James was on a skateboard before the show and broke his arm. Unfortunately Metallica didn’t play and Ozzy played an extended set.
I saw them very soon after in Hampton , VA. James had his arm in a sling and his guitar tech played his parts while he just sang. Cliff dies in Europe just a few weeks later.
Yeah!Who Sabotaged,The pants,Bill!😂😂😊That Shirt!That Jim's wearing!❤ That Band,from Austrailia,now!Diary!I Got That Record in Pristine condition!I Collected Vinyl!Play it on My 81 Turntable system!Do You Have Love at First Sting,Scorpions,with Original Artwork?!I Do!😂Take care,collecting!
Great picks, three of them would be mine too, BS, OZ, JP, like very talked about Raven, quite a band, doesn't get the recognition, their live at the inferno is a great double live matching these great double we saw there
Get me in there I'd love to pick up some vinyl especially in a record store in the city ... We have one I know of and that's 2 hr drive away it sucks .. Corporate America ugh
Unfortunately most of the 'live albums' of that era were messed with in the studio and are therefore not authentically 'live'.Still, this dude is happy with Unleashed in the East even with the knowledge Halford overdubbed his vocals but he is happy.
Huge fan of Jim. Very relatable. His podcast is the absolute best, funniest ever - his podcast intro is the best, too!
Does he still do "Comedy Metal Midgets"?
Love the Rose Tattoo Tshirt . They were the loudest badass band back in the late 70’s & 80’s . Still gigging 50 years later 🎸😎👌
Saw them open for Pat Travers way back in the day. Very AC/DC like.
Jim’s the best
Jim is perfect for this podcast.
VERY COOL! JIM IS HILARIOUS! I MISS THAT METAL SHOW

Huge Jim Florentine fan. He's a rocker & funny guy, the best combo!
all 5 picks are great. Jim knows his stuff
Diary is one of the best metal albums of all time! You can’t kill rock and roll is one of the greatest songs of all time.
That Metal Show alum 🤘 Now we need Eddie Trunk and Don Jamieson on Vinyl Obsession. I'd love to hear their Top 5. Book it Mr. Eric Young.🤘
The true gem on Sabotage is the Thrill of it All. Check it out.
I worked for the first few seasons on "That Metal Show" with Jim. A good guy, always cool to hang with and was always great to everyone.

Jim knows his stuff 👍👍🥃🥃👍👍
I can relate to that having that bond with ur dad over hard rock and heavy metal
Jim's a no nonsense guy .. so when he picks a Police album, I feel vindicated for being a Police fan for decades 👍👍
Like what you like. No need for vindication.
@@vcvortex6356 Word:)
I like his reasoning, "when your ears need a break".
Seriously....that's the damn truth about metal.

Jim needs to bring That Rocks back

Lost count of seeing jim florentine live
battle of the gruff voices.
Criminal managers, an all too common fixture in Rock'n Roll. Look what happened to Badfinger, at least there weren't any suicides in Sabbath.
Eric Young the wrestler?
Love the Police like Ghost In the Machine better
Comedian is a bit of a stretch. But it is a really good show
👇The I love Rose Tattoo button is beneath this comment.👍
Eric Young...the wrestler? What lol
HAHAHAHAHA ! WTF ?
Gheyyyyyyy. VOL 4> SABOTAGE GTFO
This host is a very insecure guy. His microphone is so much hotter and the compressor is cranked while is guest mic is tinny and thin!
