So good to hear some Kate Bush having a renaissance-revival type of resurgence! I loved her music, voice and performance artistry when I was studying music at university in the mid-80s. Back then I could only afford one or two- at the most four- albums per year. Then listening to them on record you had to be so careful not to bump the needle and scratch the disc! Of course we had tape players but the quality wasn't as good and tapes would melt or ruin easily. We definitely didn't have access to lyrics and chords anywhere unless we either worked them out ourselves or waited for a published book to come out. Now music just seems to rush out at you at lightning speeds and, if you blink, you're likely to miss it. There's so much available music to play or listen to that it's almost sensory overload. Still, there's the best of both times here. I appreciate that my lack of funds in the 80s meant that I'd really listen to the few albums I bought- over and over and over. But now I appreciate the awesomeness of being able to find niche styles of music and having all this at my fingertips. Thank you Abby, for your reminder of all this. (PS I know CD players came out around the same time I was at uni. I just couldn't afford one until I left and started earning $. There was also this real debate going on as to how long the CD phase would last. I didn't want to change over to a new medium just to have it change again within a year. I still have my Sony Walkman though- God knows why I've kept it!)
I got so excited when I saw that you have a playalong of this! Majority of the tutorials I watch are yours. Thanks to you, I am able to play my favorite songs for me and for my audience on stream. So grateful for what you do, I appreciate you!
You played really good, voice amazing as well. Better than original. I got my Kala Pacific Walnut tenor ukulele maybe a month and is a long way to learn. Keep playing uke
Is the company Enya named after the singer (from Clannad, most famously, then under her solo work)? It would be interesting if it was. I don't think I'd associate Enya (the singer) with the ukulele.
Hi Abby!!! Please do a tutorial of Silk Chiffon by MUNA and Phoebe Bridgers!! I am OBSESSED and I can't find a tutorial anywhere. Thank you and love you!!
It's a perfect cover, but a little hard for me. Is it possible to make it easier for beginners ? It's ok for F G Am moment but the quick part is really too quick for me. 😅 Thanks !
I'm sorry but there's got to be an easier way to play this. I wrote the lyrics down and I wrote the strum patterns but it's still too hard. Could you make another video, an easier version? I have been able to play almost every song I've ever come across in fact I play 5 instruments.
Actually an extremely difficult song to carry and you sing it so naturally and smoothly. And playing instrument at the same time. Well done
