I can see the extra reach being useful, but can also see the smaller size fitting in your shirt pocket easier…. Just depends on how much you carry it around. Appreciate it (don’t forget to add the hashtag if you want in)
Another good video. I like the one I won from you last time and it is all that I need as well, although I would pick the 299 as well if I had to, because that’s all I need too. Thanks again!
Nice review. What I've notice with most of professional battery powered tools (detectors, sensors, callipers etc.) they don't deplete the battery when off. Contrary to their cheaper counterparts. Thus I always take out the 9V battery form my dirty cheap RJ45 cable tester, while I don't have to do it with ungodly expensive tools like Bennign/Duspol Voltage tester or any Flir detector.
I have found the same. My Fluke’s or other more expensive testers I never take the batteries out of. I just take them out of the weird ones that I might only use every 6 months
Great video! Love the #ismellgas drawing idea. I think either would be a drastic improvement over nothing! lol my Ventless gas log fireplace is leaking right now and I'd love to be able to find it.

@@MORGANSMaintenance I like your choice of identifiable phrase so you know it is really me. Even though I'm on the opposite side of the State from NYC, the phrase is "Big Apple."
Thanks for the great content yet again! I agree the PT299 is better suited to my needs as well, just need to know if it's leaking, not how much it's leaking. #ISMELLGAS
Thanks. Yeah I will keep it in my truck for the random calls when I’m already out…. I will load up the other one too if I ever leave for a specific job knowing it’s a thing.
#Ismellgas Thanks for the video, discount codes, and giveaways! This is a great unit for safety that truly a lot of people would benefit from, especially contractors who work trades that are often in people's basements etc.
#ISMELLGAS It seems that this company does a good job with all of their products that I’ve seen reviewed. And yes, the Duracell batteries are a really nice touch. I had a gas leak at the furnace last year and this would have been nice to have had then. But it’s ok, the fire department and gas department found the leak for me at 2:00 in the morning. 😂
@@MORGANSMaintenanceI don’t know how you would do it but it would be cool if you could do a give-away-way sometimes only for apprentices or people starting out like this guy.
@@nachoisme yeah I’m not sure… I see some people put stipulations for if you like/subscribe/share etc… and I don’t know how you would even know if someone did that, little on if someone is certain profession. I do give some things away locally to guys on job sites sometimes, but you are right.. it would be nice 👍
I don't use Duracells any more. They are the worst leakers or as Steve would say she's a leaka mama. I have had them leak still in the package. #IsmellDuracellsleaking
I don’t normally buy them Because they are too expensive… so I was going by my perception of the past 😂 So they must not be what they used to be. Steve’s laugh cracks me up.
@@MORGANSMaintenance I have had multiple different packs from different years do it so I tossed all mine out. I usually get Costco's or BJ's. I haven't had those leak. Good enough for this neighborhood. The way he talks to his customers sometimes too. lol
Great prices and your codes do work on TOP of the actual Amazon prices. Happy for this to go to someone who really needs it. Best of luck all!
That’s good to know… appreciate it 👍
Nice review. PT299 looks interesting.
Appreciate it. There are advantages to both styles. The smaller the better for me 👍
I have a PT199 currently works well. But this extendable one is really adorable!

#ismellgas very neat little tools would come in handy for install like you said just another way to know for sure things are tight
Never hurts to double check. And customers will think you are a little more professional… whether you are or not 😂
Way to go boss, and a tool i actually use day to day haha! Cheers #ismellgas

#Ismellgas. Another great video. I could use either one of these. Just getting started in HVAC..

9:40 shouldn't a thousand parts per million be 0.1%, and 100 parts per million be 0.01%? or am i missing something with the meaning of "ppm"?
You could be right.. I just read what the manual said…
#Ismellgas , good video
