I love these multi-species episodes. Fishing for jack's is my favorite thing to do on G'ville. Still waiting on my first walleye, yellow perch, and maybe even a saugeye one day.
I always enjoy going along fishing with you Rocky. Only place I have ever caught Sauger is along the wing walls and deeper holes at Guntersville Dam. One day I'll see you there.
I could watch Rocky and Richard Gene make videos together all day, every day. BUT, we’re blessed to have both making their own videos. Thank you Rocky!
And that's what a million dollars worth of fun looks like! Yes Sir! Great video! My old buddy use to say, " we ain't got no money, but we had a million dollars worth of fun today, didn't we?".
Rocky Rocks.... I truly enjoy watching all of your videos. It would sure be a riot fishing with you. Stay safe on the water, God Bless. Take care Russell from Sidney, Nebraska....
Awesome Rocky, I finally took out most of my artificial baits out of my boat, live minnows has always caught more fish for me, and quit breaking your line, y’all drive me crazy 😂😂, our favorite fishing show, Thank you buddy, I live on Pickwick
Enjoy the video Rocky those are some nice fish really really love watching your videos you and Ronnie seem like very nice folks y'all take care and I'll catch you on your next video your friend Billy Simmons
Jacks are good! Winter summer spring or fall. Best thing about fishing right there. If you get hot, you can go over to where the spring comes out, and jump in!! LIVE FOR THE THUMP MY FRIEND!!
i got to make me one of those tanks .nothing like live yellow tails and a splitshot. fun watchin you fellers my grandaddy called them walleyed jack salmon. i only ever seen him catch one when i was a kid in dalehollow lake.
That deformed sauger yall caught reminded me of my first time sauger fishing in 1978 on pickwick. I actually caught my first ever smallmouth about 2 pounds on that trip and it had a similar tail deformity.
Heck yea man! Them jacks are even better than the slab crappie to me. And way easier to fillet with that electric knife! My only problem is I can’t seem to find em anymore. Great video fellas 👍
I wish my last name was leatherwood because it’s my dream to b in that boat with mr drake or Richard gene it’s a bucket list dream don’t care if I catch a fish those two guys are the best to ever do it in my opinion
@RockyDrakeOutdoors we love your videos and advice. We live in Boaz AL and fish Guntersville often we also love pickwick. Keep up the good work my friend May the lord bless you with many fishing days
I lost a big smallie so I can feel your friends pain. I had a fly snap on a 1/16oz white crappie jig with a white grub and trophy bass by procure. I used a fly snap because 10lb monofilament wouldn't go through crappie jig head. As I reeled in the big smallie it broke the jig off near the shore line where I almost had the smallie. Big mistake. The worst part was that I also lost a big striper using the same setup. I threw fly snaps away and went to the 8lb monofilament slime line. I managed to land 5 big smallies. I used a 1/8 oz white crappie jig with a white grub and trophy bass. It wasn't a total loss, but I still caught nice fish. This was in mid-September. 😀
