But I very clearly remember watching a big gap in pit stop efficiency, too. Ganassi's mechanics made IRL teams look like fumbling rookies in the pits. CART had the better cars and talent all around. It would slowly shift in IRL's favor as the top CART teams began to defect.
As an Aussie I think it is awesome that you guys show classic races, Supercars could learn a thing or two from you guys! Any chance of showing any more classic races from Surfers Paradise? 😊

I think he was trying to describe the difference between the two Team Kool Green cars, which would have been Paul Tracy and Franchitti... Franchitti had the orange dot on the nose, Tracy did not, they were otherwise identical cars.
CART also had 20 races that year. 9 of them on the ovals. 3 overseas races plus 2 Canadian. Unfortunately they started the downhill slide after that season.
There are two channels who shows the race entirely, and the channel of IndyCar only shows a part of the race, come on guys, what's happen with the professionalism.

When Champ Car was bought, all of its history was added to the record book. Now, every AAA, USAC, CART, Champ Car, IRL and IndyCar race ever run is considered an Indycar race. Unity, the very thing that the sport lacked for so long. End of story.
@@rt2000pilot So was USAC in 1979 and Champ Car in 2004, but they're like those distant cousins you see once every 3 years: you don't have to like them, but they're part of the family. One big family, with some questionable decisions and happenings in the past, and some bright moments. Like any other family.
@@rt2000pilot Lots of things: the field being hastily formed two weeks before the start of the season, both the field and calendar being a huge downer compared to 2002 and earlier (and before the brief rennaissance in quality from 2006-07), lots of unexperienced drivers, Mario Domínguez suddenly promoted to podium contender, Newman/Haas destroying the opposition as all other powerful teams bar Forsythe had defected... A terrible, terrible year overall. And the three hackmigos setting the foundation for the future failure of Champ Car by subsidizing teams, like if they were that idiot Tony George, but without an IMS to recoup that loss.
