Twenty years ago a buddy and I encountered a mountain lion with a kill right at 7:40. It was Mexican standoff of sorts because she wanted past us and we weren't moving past her for sure. She kept swaying back and forth spitting, sputtering and growling her displeasure at our presence while we were stuck. At that point its 3/4 down (and trust me you don't ever want to climb Noble Canyon - another post) Finally my buddy Carl got fed up and started tossing stones at her. What she did next shocked us. She grabbed her kill turned and went straight up the canyon wall (left facing down). Here's the thing. She climbed 20-30 yards almost straight up in spots and barley disturbed a grain of sand. It was the most graceful yet awesome display of power I have ever witnessed.

I climbed up Noble Canyon from the parking lot at the bottom yesterday. The whole time, I had this eerie feeling that I was being watched.

I was on Noble yesterday! Didn't have nearly enough time to ride it all because we were driving home to Phoenix from SanDiego, but I rode from the bottom parking lot up about 4 miles and turned around. But I did ride the section from 9:20 on in your video, what a kick ass trail! I need to go back!
