    I visited Normandy twice in my life for 60th and 70th anniversary. Now due to the pandemic it's very hard to travel and your Atlantic Wall Drone Footage help me to visit whenever I want

      Most of the graffiti you see are far from the landing beaches were nobody gives a ass about these things.

    It's no wonder the Germans lost by painting so many of their pillboxes in such bright colours. It makes it far too easy for the enemy to see them.

    The Terrain is shaped like that due to coastal bombardments/mortars/aircraft bombardments
    list goes on showing how much damage war can truly complete
    nothing

    I wish someone would restore or at least clean up these ruins.

    • @PanzerPicture
      @PanzerPicture  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Even on the big tourist hot spots they don't restore these bunkers its really odd, because other countries like Belgium and the Netherlands did do this in the last few years.

      @@PanzerPicture You should organise a group of volunteers to wash the paint off and clean up the rubbish (garbage). I'd totally help.

      Virtually all along the Normandy coastline had been left 'as was', apart from gun/ammo removal post war, up until the 40th Anniversary ehen Reagan & Thatcher attended. For that they really tarted the sites up, particularly Pont du Hoc, Longues sur Mer guns still in situ. In the years up to this tjere wrre still unused shells to the rear of one of the LsM guns, half covered in sandy mud with some broken chicken wire surrounding. At PdH bits of shells (aluminium with numerals stamped upon and int/ext threads, etc were still easily findable amongst the broken bunkers to be found there. Fired German mg carts at Port en Bessin and so on.

      Oh, my bad. Thought it was a mistake, I remember that one of your older videos also appeared as unlisted and you changed it after someone pointed it out. Anyway, I know I'm repeating myself, but I loved the video 😂 loved the quality, loved the aerial view, loved the sights.. those beaches are seriously gorgeous.
