    Q:What camera do you use?
    A: I use the Go Pro Hero 7 Black Edition primarily. Often times you will see auxillary cameras in use. Those cameras include The Go Pro Hero 6, Hero, and DJI Mavic Pro Platinum
    Q: How big Is your rotator?
    A: It is a 50 ton Miller Industries Vulcan 950
    Q: Does the carriage slide back like Ron Pratt's?
    A: No, the carriage doesn't slide back due to strict weight laws in California. The sliding carriage will make the truck to heavy in CA
    Q: Why do you only have 3 winches on the rotator?
    A: Comes down to weight again as stated above
    Q: How many trucks Does Plaza Towing have?
    A: Currently more than 30
    Q: Why must the driveshaft be removed to tow a vehicle?
    A: When vehicles are not running the transmission is not receiving circulating lubricant. If the driveshaft is left installed, the transmission, which is not receiving lubricant, is still spinning. This allows it to get very hot which eventually will cause major damage to the transmission. Therefore, removing the driveshaft completely eliminates the transmission from spinning. Simply leaving it in neutral is not sufficient since the transmission still spins in neutral.

    Oh Sweet.... another Cozad video. Thanks for sharing! Didnt realise it was an older manual one instead of the air release/power neck. Learn something new every day! I think all we need now is a few recovery videos of one of your light duty's that we saw at 22mins 52 secs! They look interesting!

    You guys should look at buying a winch tractor or adding a 30t Tulsa to your tractor, makes hooking up so much easier on your truck, that’s how our trucks are set up pulling these types of trailers, don’t have to be rammy or struggle trying to hook up especially once you guys get a 16 wheel jeep to go with the combo

    Stupid question but can’t you slide your fifth wheel forward so the neck rests on the ramps so you don’t have to use the timber? As soon as we back under the neck we pull the fifth wheel forward and then drive away with the neck. That way the neck rests on the ramps. Wasn’t sure if your truck is any different

      Big fan of cozad. Haven’t had the chance to run a Murray but same concept would definitely consider a wide neck if I were to do it again. Also depends on your state and the permits they give you. With the 10ft spread and 16 tire grouping they give us 60,000 pounds on the trailer axles. Some states just say there’s 2 axles and don’t care that there is 16 tires. Loading over the back is also a nice feature. I’m a fan of your channel as well, keep it up!

    Some states require 5 pts of contact. The boom should have been tied as well.

    • @kempo_95
      @kempo_95 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They tied the boom with a strap, you can see it at 21:50

    • @larrywall1642
      @larrywall1642 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If they have a wreck that strap is worthless. In their state that may be legal, 4 tie downs. In others not so much.

    This is the first time I've seen someone unhitch the gooseneck from the truck than detach the gooseneck from the flatbed than reattach the gooseneck to the truck. All the other videos I've seen other truckers always leave the gooseneck attached to the truck and than just detach the gooseneck from the flatbed... Is there something different about your trailer that I can't see??

    Don't they make a hydraulic neck for those trailers? You have hydraulics on the tractor.

    • @banffdigger
      @banffdigger 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hyd neck is quite a bit heavier and with a bit of practice and some hustle the mechanical neck isn't much slower if at all. Also I never had a hydraulic hose blow on a mechanical neck.
