- Colin Cowherd heaps praise onto Lamar Jackson after the quarterback dominates in the Baltimore Ravens' win over the Miami Dolphins. He takes a look at how far Jackson has come in his career, going from a dubious passer of the football to throwing 321 total pass yards and 5 touchdowns before the game had ended, finishing with a perfect passer rating. Lamar pretty much cemented his MVP case, and Colin lays out why he's here for it. Plus, Jordan Love is another quarterback finding success late in the season, a pleasant surprise for Colin after such a rough beginning to the Green Bay Packers' year. Watch as Colin explains why Green Bay has got the formula for creating strong quarterbacks on lock.

True, he already said he was wrong tho.
Also Love was playing like trash during that time.

Technically both Raven's QB's had perfect passing ratings yesterday.

@@moxymaniac Well in the rest of the teams in history's defense, they probably didn't have backups who went to the pro bowl. When they were backups.
I think the calculation is wrong on box scores. Don't you need at least 10 attempts to obtain a perfect passer rating?
He stays w/ the “Marriage” analogies 😂😂
I want the names of the GMs those who anonymously said he wasn't worth it this past summer. I want to know their QB situation and how its going.
didnt want to pay a guaranteed deal
They didn’t want to pay a guaranteed deal, look what has happened with Deshaun Watson, injured all the time. Also, up until this year, Lamar had had some average years after his MVP, he was constantly injured, and his playoff success is still much to be desired. That may change this year. I’m a Vikings fan and can tell you when I heard rumors about Lamar coming to Minnesota, I was very much against it. Was lots of money for a player that hadn’t proven he could pass until this year.
@@Zieg_Games He has played 2 and in those 2 he's won an mvp in both. The hate yall have for this black man is crazy. When Lebron is co signing his mvp thats how you know you're a baller. To still hate on him like y'all do it has to be deeper than that

Colin doesn’t know ball. He doesn’t even watch the games. His takes have become comedy over the past several years.
I can’t believe bro had 30 tds this year good for him
This year was essentially a prove it year for the Packers in my opinion. Love needed to prove he can be at least a solid QB for his first year as a starter and Matt LeFleur needed to prove he can run a good offense without Rodgers. But frustrating as always is the defense letting us down at key moments. If the Packers make it in as a wildcard team, we’ll be good going forward
From what I see they will be good even if they don’t make the playoffs this year
To be fair there were also many games where the defense did show up and made plays but the offense did not show up. Both sides of the ball have not been consistent in showing up to the same game otherwise they would be competing for the division title.
The talent on defense is over-rated. They are "first rounders" but all late, no top tens. The special, teams scares me. I thought we over that but they still suck.
I don't want to see the Packers in the playoffs, I just have a nervous feeling about them. They could run the table, starting with my Cowboys 😂 and they have gone to the SB as a wildcard before.
@melvinbarnett1910 thanks for the recognition but your Boyz are a little too stacked for the Packers. And I'm a Cheese head lol. It'd probably be a good game though

“The Packers missed on Jordan Love.” - Colin literally 60 days ago
I truly believe that if they didn’t trade up for Love and drafted Tee Higgens to play across from Adams on that loaded roster, and got to use their 4th round pick, they’d have won the SB, maybe 2. We saw how important Higgens was to a much lesser talented Bangles SB team.
Love isn’t terrible, but unless he wins the big one for them, they missed on that very controversial draft pick.
Yes, Colin. California is great...when you're rich.
This is BAL's year. Lamar is balling and stayed healthy, the Bills and Chiefs are off, and Burrow is out. This is the time if they're ever gonna do it.

Skip called it and he loves him some Lamar Jackson
Why does Colin keep talking about vaccines?
The 49ers without CMC are still a dominant team. The Ravens without Lamar is a 500 team or below only because their defense keeps them in games. How many pro bowlers are on the 49ers offense vs. the Ravens? Lamar does more with less. The only reason he doesn't have better stats is because the Ravens offense isn't built for that. They are built to take the lead and hold the lead. Also, half of Lamars stats are with his legs, unlike most other qbs. How many times has Lamar gotten out of trouble when pressured n made magic happen? Of course, the talking heads don't look at those stats. I could keep going on and on. The case is closed on the MVP race. At this point, if you can't see it, it's because you have your blinders on and / or are a Lamar hater for some odd reason.
"because their defense keeps them in games"... Uh ohh... Don't go there! Don't be dissin' Lamar like that! Lamar is MVP! He D had nothing to do with it! His D ain't MVP! Lamar!

The sad fact is he's swamped in hype with nothing to back it up. He puts up 5 tds yesterday in his best day of the season... And Jordan Love, with better overall production, puts up 4 total TDs. Russell Wilson has similar numbers, more passing TDs in fewer games... and he's getting shipped out.

Especially after having a Vick in the league.
Lamar is probably as fast or faster than Vick(4.2 I think). And is a playmaker just like Vick. The only real thing I will say that Vick was better than lamar is outright, is the ability to break you down and juke you in close quarters, like a Barry sanders.
Tebow was a Fullback/Tight end playing Quarterback that throws like a linebacker.
Trubisky, Rosen, darnold, Zach Wilson, Pickett, and none of the other top 1-5 picks get disrespected like Lamar.
What’s the whole point of waiting till thanksgiving for a verdict if it’s not enough time to judge a player?
And if you look at Green Bay’s back ups over the last 30 years they have had good careers with other teams after Green Bay developed them. Hasslebeck in Seattle having the best career.

I don't like blanket takes without context.
GB had back to back qbs that played at a high level for so long they were afforded the luxury of drafting their replacements and letting them develop. And they don't draft high because of their qbs keeping them in the playoff hunt every year. And they don't draft as many offensive guys 1st round because offense isn't their problem with good qb play. It hasn't been a blueprint. It's been 2, just 2 forchunate circumstances back to back.
I agree with everything Colin said about Lamar but he got one thing wrong. There's been 3 people who supported and believed in Lamar pre-draft.
His college coach, Rich and Simms. You can watch it on youtube, they all stood for Lamar when nobody ever mentioned his name in the media. 💯💯
People say those things about him bc his passing stats are mediocre. When you look at film, it’s obvious there are limitations. The Ravens staff have done an awesome job of building an offense around his strengths. We need to stop giving QB’s too much blame or too much praise. For a QB to play well, it takes many moving parts, good scheme, and good play calling.
True.
But isn’t that the job of all offensive coordinators?
Andy Reid had to change things for Patrick mahomes, but ironically he also had the Best Wide receiver and the Best tight end to help him.
Josh Allen needed the offense tailored to him and a Beastly Receiver in Diggs.
Joe burrow’s offense was tailored to him by being able to draft Chase. Don’t forget Higgins, mixon and Boyd.
Justin Herbert has Allen, ekeler, Williams.
Also Two key things about the ravens, They were running a Run heavy offense and managed physical therapy badly. Worst rated team when it comes to dealing with injuries. That’s terrible considering how often their players get hurt.
The limitations were with his surrounding talent and a mediocre OC.....The Ravens were sub.500 and about to fire Harbaugh...he came in and put the franchise on his back
Who said Tom Cruise cant act
People on here pretending that Love’s numbers aren’t good for a kid starting in his first year is just comical. The dude already has more wins, more touchdowns, and less interceptions than Aaron did in his first year as a starter. Oh and by the way, Rodgers had a way more experienced roster who had just come off an NFC championship game appearance. Meanwhile Love’s dealing with the youngest offense in the league and still has better numbers than Aaron did. Either y’all are just a bunch of Bears fans who have made the realization that Green Bay will never stop being a consistent franchise, or you just don’t know a damn thing about football, because anybody who tries to tell you that Love’s numbers aren’t good for a guy who is starting for the first time, are just delusional 😂
