Don't panic if your fav doesn't appear, there will be more series and beside that, I'm trying to bring you unknown things or not that usual vocal moments or singers, not what you already have seen :D

Sohyang is The Korean Goddess..an Asian vocal powerhouse. She's amazing. But bcoz of her strict Christian believe, she refuses to sign with big record label as she stated that she sing only for The Jesus. Incredible talent.
I love that lately, Sohyang has been getting more recognition with vocal fans & experts...
There's such a lack of representation in the world for Asians, especially the USA. when people say "vocal goddess" they usually think of Ariana Grande or Demi Lovato , which is fine btw, but its sad that Asia has so many amazing singers (dare I say, some better than Ariana & others :) yet get no recognition internationally bc people usually aren't interested whenever they sing in another language than English

I'm a huge Jennifer Hudson fan, i still believe she is one of the best voices i ever heard. It is the first time i listened to So Hyang and her technique might be impressive very whitney houston/celine dion style but i still would choose Jennifer over her. She gives me goosebumps and i can feel her pain while she sings. Just an opinion.

Jenifer hudson sings more in the throat with high larynx and screams the notes and pushes alot and doesn't have a natural sound because she pushes. And she pushes the air from the lungs rather than breathing from the diaphram. It's almost like she pushes her air too over dramatically.

So Hyang is one talented person, OMG I never seen someone reach that high and carry the note. And Miss Jennifer with them pipes, slay all day... I do however think when it comes to falsetto or soprano So Hyang is better because her ability is mostly high notes on the other hand when it come to stability and support Jennifer has her beat but they are both great.... I love watching their live performances..! :)

William Henderson Hi, sorry i don't really know Rachel but "just" hold a note for 50 sec is breath control, not stamina.
Shane tori Breath control is part of stamina, but lol she can go on for hours with the same songs and if you listen to her in concert it's almost as if she gets better as the night goes on

dunno why the comparison with stamina or voice. clearly they have different vocals you cant compare them, try comparing when they have the same song. the winner will always be the person who's voice fit the song best. who slayed it more. remember, versatility is another criteria to be recognized as the best.
When you say "better" there is already comparison. This is no vocal stamina, that is why we have genre's. basically she can't sing in other technique only mix classical or nasally.
Saying SoHyang is using a classical technique just show how clueless you are about this subject. Oh, might as well add that being nasal while singing is due to the soft palate not being raised, no one is born with a 'nasal' voice and SoHyang is raising her soft palate but she's using twang, which isn't really the same as someone singing through their nose.

It's the endurance of your voice when sing highnote (it's refer to highnote than lownote, but lownote does have it too).

I don't understand why people are making a comparison- was that the point of the video? Although they are clearly both belting within (more or less) the same range, they are not at all singing the same style of music. I'm not familiar with Sohyang, but she is clearly very talented. However, comparing her to Jennifer Hudson is lazy and uninspired. Jennifer Hudson is an example of the powerhouse, Gospel-style vocalist. She may not always have the best technique, but that isn't the point with a lot of soul music. To be perfect vocally, is to almost inherently not be soulful. The point of a lot of that culture is the emotion in the vocal-- not just a pretty performance. Aretha, Patti Labelle, and Chaka Kahn are similar examples. Sohyang, for example, would sound very out of place with that group of women singing a standard like, "His Eye is on the Sparrow" or "Summertime." They are completely different styles of vocalist, so comparing them is unnecessary and a bit silly. Sohyang is crisp and clear, and her headvoice is super pretty, but she feels way to controlled to sing American blues or soul. Jennifer is probably more powerful (her belts don't tend to lose the 'roundness' as soon as others do, and she seems to be able to muster a huge belt with minimal effort, check out her carpool karaoke with James Corden!), but she definitely could use more refinement and control. Both of these women are hella talented!
May people here are making a comparision, but if you see in the video I never said "battle" or "vs". Like you said is stupid compare them, first, because they are different types of sopranos, second, there's no real battle cause they don't sing for battle so their vocals are not made to impresse more than other singers. Third, as you said, they are influenced by different types of music, so Jennifer cares more about the rough and soulful caracteristic sound of gospel, while SoHyang cares more about thechnique and stamina.
None of my videos are a battle for these reasons. I agree with you, music and singing it's an art to express what you feel the way you feel it. Not they way some people tell you how to feel certain emotions like, love song should be tender and sweet vocals. NO WAY. You don't know what is love for me, maybe I don't like to chill with my boyfriend/girlfriend at the sofa, I prefer to travel and dance and have rough sex at public places with my partner. Not every love story is a fairytale.
Yeah, I know you never made the comparison, so that's why I was confused by the people arguing in the comments or speaking badly about one of these amazing vocalists because they prefer the other one. It's unnecessary and stupid. lol.

The only reason why Jennifer Hudson sound 'powerful' is due to her being a Spinto Soprano. There's no power if there is strain actually, if she sang without a microphone while straining with SoHyang, SoHyang would most likely drown Jennifer's sound output.
So Hyang is actually a gospel singer as well. She actually refuses to sign with a company or do pop because she only sings for God.
I was never a fan of Jennifer Hudson's voice and this just reconfirms that. Her belts are so....ugh!

SoHyang is a great singer...but what i see on her that i don't like is the fact she open to much the mouth and force herself to sing that high notes.
Those notes aren't forced at all, it's just the way she sings.

Once of her biggest issues are fatigue, she doesn't really rest her voice so she loses support at times, but in that performance I think she was at her best :) I only heard a shouty G5 somewhere :P I'm pretty sure she's a full lyric, and I'm a lyric mezzo ^_^
