You've left the rust and trash in one of the critical mechanisms on this brace: the ratcheting mechanism. Also the thrust bearing that the upper handle pushes against. I guess this is for the purely collector market or the naive newbie.

It definitely should have been classified as a music video not a repair video.
You cleaned up the outside and painted the wood the wrong color.
That still shows a lot of wear and pitting!
That's not the way it came from the factory!
Therefore that is not a restoration!
That is a partial repair or a renovation.
