The name "Darjeeling Express" itself has such good Vibrations. The Chef/Owner's interview was so Heartwarming.. The food oooh.. You are so lucky to be doing what you love + sharing it wd all of us. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.. stay Blessed Dear Chetna..
I love that there's a grandma in the kitchen making momos. Just like every good Chinese restaurant which has one who makes the potstickers! These places would be lost without them.
Thank you thank you and thank you for giving us such an experienced, meticuolus and plenty of impressions review of those indian restaurants in London. I have been many times there but NEVER with such a great advice. I am saving your list for my next visit! I will need some time!!!
Really like Asma Khan and the work she's doing with women in her restaurant and to champion her model of how to create a professional kitchen that's supportive and empoowering. And her food is terrific too.
Every time, I see a square-sized parantha and I’m transported back to my cherished childhood❤ and I’m sold. Also, Asma was featured in the last season of Top Chef too. Her thali looked delectable to say the least💛
Hi, Miss Chetna, you look gorgeuos. Your presentation is so impressive. You somewhat look like Hellen. It is purely my personal opinion, if you dont mind. I am very happy to watch all your videos. Eagerly waiting for new episodes. A new subscriber from India😊.
Great Video This place has had tremendous publicity over the years. Bravo, Asma Khan for doing things her own way. The Restaurant is a very personal journey and one that I really want to take. I did in fact try to have a meal at DE in its previous incarnation at Kingsly Court, unfortunately they were crazy busy and possibly short-staffed so I took a rain check. The quality of your review is so good, we will be going back to try it out for lunch. All the best
I love this series. I am not sure if you consider Sri Lankan Indian or Not.. but my sister just went to Hoppers and was blown away. Are you gonna include that in this series?
@mrfroopy Sri Lankan here, and while a lot of the ingredients are shared our cuisine is quite different. More a combo of Thai and South Indian. I'm not sure if hoppers is authentic though, I've not been and I know a lot of the team is Indian
I am trying to reconcile the point when Asma said life is meant to be difficult and hard work. Then goes on to say, to tip and be nice to staff as “it’s not easy” 😢! What??
He didn't say it was fun to suffer, he simply acknowledged the reality of it in this life He said the great thing is to learn from it and be proud you came through stronger. That's "what".

That's a great conversation with the owner. I think I could listen to her for hours, and a well deserved success for the restaurant too.

FEMALE Kitchen its more than that to say... Motherly KITCHEN ... Innovative and WOW .. No words .. Dedicated and passion.. AMBIANCE.. !!!! Lovely...

Chetna, can you please describe what looked like a burger on a bun? What was that?
vada pav
I went to Darjeeling in London and 300% agree with you on the methi chicken curry, it was phenomenal.

I have been to hoppers and love it but Srilankan food is not Indian food and vice versa 😂
@@FoodwithChetna but they also have south Indian dishes, no?

Personally I think Dishoom is massively overrated, Darjeeling Express is much better.

Female only kitchen??? The Equalities Act 2010 springs to mind! 🤔🤔🤔
serving beef in indian menu 😂
so?
India is the second highest exporter of beef worldwide
This is one 9f the worst place in the name of Indian food...
❤
