Can confirm Mighty Gunvolt Burst is excellent. Solid levels, plenty of customization, good excuses to replay a level, and the dirt cheap DLC characters completely change the experience.
Love this series! And I love Spelunky! My recommendation for you is a game called UnMetal. It's a 2D stealth action adventure game that has some great gameplay and some pretty hilarious writing. Pays homage to some classic games, specifically the original Metal Gear games. A "hidden gem", as it where!
Thanks for the recommendations as always buddy! Wavetale looks incredible, and I love that you pulled out Mighty Gunvolt Burst. That's one of my favorite early Switch releases that gets forgotten a lot, and it brought a huge smile to see you mention it!
Great video, very informative. Just as a recommendation, try to evenly balance the volume between the games intro and the voice overs. On headphones it can be an issue. Again, great list and cheers from México.
Much appreciated! I'lll definitely look into a better level balance for the VO work. You're not the first person to mention that, so it's definitely an area of improvement. Thank you for saying so, and have a fantastic day! :)
So many awesome picks here. Sphinx is an awesome game that I missed on the GameCube, but played the Switch version and couldn’t put it down. Mighty Gunvolt Burst is FAR better than Mighty No. 9 for sure 😂! Wavetale a buddy of mine just reviewed and brought to my attention, and yeah…it looks great! Another awesome Switch hidden gems video man! I HIGHLY recommend Fast RMX if you haven’t tried that one yet! Still one of my favorite Switch eShop games that is visually stunning.
Unusual finds = Stranger Things. Yes, even in the title and ofcourse totally get it from the game. I’d be down for sure. SMB3! Yes, it’s so damn good. So happy you enjoyed it. When we first played it, we played the first one free on Xbox one. I remember getting the biggest kick out of garbage pail kids. I was a big cabbage patch kids fan and the garbage pail kids was the gross dirty version of that, and I loved it lol Mercenary Kings!!!!!! Love love love! Couldn’t agree more about how amazing it is. There were some tough levels but it made the journey and the completion that much more sweet. You are 100% channel of the year material! Great video yet again!
Just found your channel in the recommendations and I see that you’re getting referrals from gaming off the grid those guys are awesome I’m glad I found you I’ve got you subscribed & NOTI 💫🥇✊🎮
Lady Laci has long been a fan of TellTale games and we've often wondered if she'd like Batman and/or how it'd play compared to their other offerings. Hmmm, Unusual Findings has me torn...Some elements I like, but some of the comparisons you made turned me off, so...guess I'll flip a coin. MGB, now that looks pretty fun; nice. Though I see that timer in the bottom corner--how much does that come into play? I can't stand being timed in games. I really need to try out the latest ActRaiser--I enjoyed the original (and the sequel was...there.) I've long wanted to play through Sphinx for Lady Laci who loves anything Egyptian themed. Bleh, ugh, I could never get into anything GPK. BUT, I agree, I'm surprised we didn't get a game back in the day. Wonder if Captain Algebra would like Wave Tale better than Wind Waker? ha ha
As a HUGE TellTale fan myself, Batman is one of their more solid options. It's not quite to the level of Wolf Among Us, but it's still way up there for me. As much as I enjoy Unusual Findings: if your spidey-sense is tingling that it might not be for you, then I'd pass on it. I love it, but I'm a massive adventure game fan and it kind of just speaks to me. MGB - I'd go with very little of it impacting your actual game experience. I didn't even notice it was there until your comment, and I don't recall the game making any note of it aside from how long it took you to complete a level. I highly recommend Sphinx - it's been one of my favorites for decades and if you can adjust your brain to a Gen 6 style of play, you'll be golden. :)
@@SquarePegs Jay, thank you so much for the info! It's seriously appreciated. No fear for Batman, got it; Spidey-Sense faith on UF, roger that. MGB no worries on time--phew! And Spinx love all the way!! Thank you!!☺☺
This is a very fair question. The short answer is no, there's no direct compensation for these videos. There's always occasion where a game I feature is because I requested a review code for a game I was interested in covering (Wavetale and Unusual Findings for example, this month), but I've never been paid by a company to review their game. I'd wager that 75-90% of the games I've reviewed have been paid for our of my own pocket. Now, I do receive ad revenue from people watching the video, as well as support from Channel Members and Patreon supporters, but that's the extent of it. I hope that answers the question adequately? If not, feel free to ask for more clarity, I'm happy to provide it. 🙂
ooh, wavetale looks neat enough
Gamin off the grid brought me here. Love the channel

do you get paid to make theese reviews
