Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, also known as fau 571, Fuerza Aérea Uruguaya flight 571 or the tragedy on the Andes was a flight transporting a rugby team from Montevideo, Uruguay to Santiago, Chile.
The plane crashed in the Andes Mountains on 13 of October of 1972 due the pilot thinking that they already passed the mountains, another the crash, the team had to survive 72 days on the snow using the recourses that they had and the corpses
