    Out freaking standing! I've been looking all over youtube for a tutorial on Sass. Most of them are outdated and still use @import instead of @use and @forward I'm more of a visual learner, even though I read the documentation on the Sass website I still couldn't figure it out but your video is quite clear. Thank you so much for taking the time to create this awesome video!!! Keep up the great job you do.🔥🔥

    Wow, I watched many tutorials in the past, this is by far the most descriptive one I've watched. You pause on things that maybe not everyone is familiar with, and in 60% of the cases I know them all so I skip, but when I don't know something, I thank god that you pause and elaborate on those. Thank you so much for this video!

    This is so good...I'm sort of at a loss for words, haha. You can tell there is a lot of effort put into this.
    It's so great how you've done all of your research and have thorough explanations for everything you do based on both research and working experience. Stuff like the rem and em usage can be annoying concepts to get a good grip on; but your explanations, alongside the live demoing, made everything crystal clear.
    Thank you sososo much for this. This has saved me countless hours of research and stressing.
    If there's any way I can support you, please let me know. The work you do is so necessary and incredibly lacking in the coding community (not to disparage anyone else, there's other great content out there, you're just on a whole nother level).
    Edit: Found the TH-cam support option..will be using that unless there's a different way I can support you more directly. I don't entirely care for the perks (although they're a cool bonus), I just wanna make sure as much money is getting to you as possible!

    I'm struggling to understand why, but the media-query example at 3:00:00 onwards doesn't seem to work when I try to reproduce your code, even though I double checked the functions and everything has been working so far. The devtools reads "@media (min-width: 56.25em)" but the layout does not change as it does in your video. Am I the only one encountering problems at 3:00:00 example? Upd.: Funny how in Google Chrome it seems to work, but not in Mozilla. Go figure.

    If this is for beginners where is the part where you create the project folder with gitattributes and license etc. I know how to create a folder file etc on vs. If this is for beginners how is a beginner going to know how to create licence, app, read me or we gettng this informatin from github? Sorry for the dumb question. But if you are going to make a beginners video at least show us how you created the project folder with the items in it. No being ungreatful but you do get paid for views and things like this cause people to look at other video's to find the solution causing wasting time etc. In my suggestion now Traversy media has come up I am gonna now check him out to see if he shows me. I didn't even get 2 minutes in. The beginners bit is misleading. Please tell people before hand what we need to know before starting these video. Its TIME I don't get back.

    Just to be clear: the notion that font-size should be set in rem is debatable, and the vast majority of companies, including the major news sites, use pixels.
    It's not because they hate people with disabilities. It's because the Ctrl + function works just fine when the font-size is in pixels. The browser saves that preference when you zoom into a site, so you don't have to zoom in every time you come back.

    Hi Coder Coder! I've been following u for some time now. You're the one that inspired to me to learn Sass. You make it look so easy. I enjoy your live coding sessions and you showing the process of research that no coding channel does. That makes me feel that if you can do it, anyone can do it and that gives me so much motivation.
    I just have one question, I came across to this problem last week where I have to change the color of the background of the body element dynamically depending on what the user choose and I found out that Javascript can't use Sass variables to do it programatically. So I am wondering if you can use Sass variable and CSS variable along with each other?
    I.E.
    //SCSS
    :root{
    --dayMode: #fff;
    --nightMode: #000;
    $dayMode : var(--dayMode);
    $nightMode: var(--nightMode);
    }
    body{
    background-color: $dayMode;
    }
    //js
    if(user.choose(mode))
    {
    body.style.backgroundColor = `var(--${mode})`; // mode = 'dayMode' || 'nightMode';
    }
    This is only a rough example but I structure it like this because I still want to use sass variables somewhere in my sass codes. Is this a bad practice?
    Please continue to make videos that will inspire us beginners.

    • @TheCoderCoder
      @TheCoderCoder  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I would definitely use CSS custom properties when you need to change the color dynamically! And I think it's totally ok to use both in the same project. I'm glad that my videos have been helpful to you!

    I want to know if it is possible to use sass in a project together with styling frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind. If yes is it recomended ? or it just best to use sass with pure css coding only with no frameworks.
    And I want to know if the same thing can be applied when using frontend frameworks like react which normally have some inital files like App.css can we use sass in this too and make it transpile to the App.css?
