This is exactly the video I’ve been needing, will be taking my first solo trip abroad to Budapest for 4 nights in November flying with Wizz air, slightly nervous and a tad worried as 90% of reviews online aren’t the best 😂 however you answered a fair few questions that I simply couldn’t find anywhere else at all online. So thank you! 🙏
Also just whilst I’m here I have an odd question. At any point in the days weeks months etc of you checking in via the app. Did it ever say your check in was the day after your flight? For some reason my check in times for both flights are showing as 24 hours after the flights have left. So I’m also concerned regarding that 😂
Glad the video helped. I’ve not noticed any bug as you describe. Best to check 1) app 2) website 3) pdf ticket Check which one is different. It could just be a glitch in whatever is displaying the incorrect check in time.
BarakAllahoe fiek for this review. I almost did a similar journey one year ago with my mom, but at the last moment the price went up. After watching this, I'm thankful I didn't. In sha Allah I will go next month with my mom using Flynas from Brussels. The basic fare was 320 EUR, but as I'm travelling with an elderly, I chose for the full package, amounting to 484 EUR, which still is a good deal I think.
Thank you for the review, I’m doing the exact trip next week In’shaa’Allaah. Do they ask for meningitis vaccination certificate when boarding flight to Jeddah?
Very informative video. Alhamdulilah I've visited Saudi Arabia twice using WizzAir, and this video reflects my experience almost exactly. Keep an eye out for off-season prices. I once booked STN-OTP-JED-BUD-LTN for £306, only 4 days ahead of travel, with backpack + 10kg carry on(first leg was RyanAir, WizzAir for the rest)
There’s always deals to be had with wizzair especially if you are flexible. When they first launched these routes to Middle East I saw a one way to Dubai for under £30.
@ yes, these ‘connecting’ flights are treated as completely separate. You must head out of arrivals and back to departures to check in for the second flight.
Jazak Allahu khairan for your informative video. It's a lot of hassle having to check in again on the way. I would need a suitcase on my return, too, so might be better going with Saudi. I prefer going Medina first, so would want the train to connect from the airport. Landing at North terminal is a hassle.
Hi Do you know if there is a free shuttle service available from the North Terminal to Terminal 1? If so, could you please advise on where to find this shuttle?
I’ve been told there is but when I was there I couldn’t find it. Due to time constraints I ended up paying for a taxi which I’m sure I also overpaid for.
Asalaam walaykum brother, sorry if you have answered this question already. Im looking to fly direct from gatwick to jeddah. What's the situation with checking in online . Is it true that if you dont, then you will get charged extra . Also, reviews online say the website starts playing up. Did you experience this? Would you recommend taking the quick travel package ? I want to avoid extra charges .What would you advise ?
Walaikum salam. You will need to check in online when flying wizzair. Otherwise yes you will get charged at the airport. Online check in is easy. Just download the wizzair app and use that. I didn't select any packages and just went for the cheapest fare which only includes a small bag which was enough for me. Remember you can always pick up most items when in Saudi.
@TheTravelTipsGuy jazakallah ul khair. I have opted for the 20kg package. I want to drink zam zam and dates back. Are there any buses going into the city of jeddah from the north terminal? May Allah subhanwatallah reward you for your advice
Salaam brother I wanted to ask in that small bag you had what did you manage to pack as I want to travel with with air for umrah but am worried only my ihram will fit thank you
I managed to get in my Ihram and all my clothes. 7 days of underwear, couple of t shirts and trousers. You can always buy your ihram over there if you go medina first before Makkah. You can always buy clothes at Makkah and medina. On the way back I donated my ihram locally and got the rest of my clothes back with me.
Assalamualaikum brother.... In our umrah we have 17 hour long transit in Budapest, my question is do they close airport? can we wait in the airport or do we need transit visa as we have Bangladeshi passport?
Yes you will need to pass immigration and exit the airport. As a result you will need a visa to enter Budapest. The airport closes overnight too. You will need to find out what visa you are eligible for.
Thanks bro. I will go ummrah next month brother inshaa allah. My flight is bristol - milan to jeddah. Is wiz air annouce miqat before you land jeddah ?
Yes all wizzair flights land and take off in north terminal. The train station is located in the south terminal therefore you have to get a taxi or a bus from north terminal to south terminal.
@@munawarsalam2785 It isn’t free. There is a counter just before the exit that sells bus tickets. I have read that there is meant to be a free shuttle bus between the terminals but I was unable to find it. Also as I was rushed for time, I had no choice but to take a taxi which cost 150 SAR.

Yeah the crowd on the flight to Budapest weren’t great either. Wizzair for me is ruled out if it involves children or elderly as it’s too much stress. For singletons, lads, girls, young people trips it’s fine as it’s the same as Ryanair etc. With low cost carriers I find it best to set your expectations very low.
Wizzair now fly direct from London Gatwick to Jeddah so that might be more useful than the flight shown here.

Good thing there are lcc flights from Uk to Saudi Arabia the last time was in 2014 from flynas but they stopped it

I went Madinah first for a few days so wore it there before travelling to Makkah. I saw people on my flight wear it in Budapest before boarding.
Asalamualykum brother, have you gone through immigrations at budapest? Please advice i will be travelling same route with wizz
