Enjoyed that Graham . Love magpies and ever year we have a new brood turn up to boss my cat around! They are so much fun to watch if a tad noisy. They also do me a favour by picking off the moss from my house roof . I think they are very striking birds if not beautiful. 😁👍❤️🙏
Cheers Steve and thanks for sharing what your magpies get up to! It can be fascinating wondering what's going on in their brain at any given moment! 👍🙂👍
Nice photo Graham, you got some really nice colours on the Magpie in that photo. The photo of the tail feather was also fantastic, the colours really popping against that black backdrop. Your Rhyme voice was a little off putting though due to the headphones I am listening on haha, a very ominous sound but a nice effect all the same, lol. A great video overall and looking forward to next months.
Thanks Jay, yes the slightly spooky effect on the poem was deliberate and done particularly for the sake of those listening on headphones! Achieved within Audacity. Made a plain mono recording initially, then two duplicates. Applied a slight downward pitch-shift to one copy and panned it fully right, plus a slight upward pitch shift to the other and panned it fully left (may have been vice versa). Then mixed down and compressed. Like you I'm a man of various talents! 😆
what a character full photo, those colours are amazing. magpies i have always found so fascinating. i like the inclusion of the rhyme - although i know that version there is another slightly different that i am more familiar with. wishing you a wonderful weekend. catch you soon.
A corvid character! Lovely photo and interesting facts, Graham. I agree with you on the poem - prefer the shorter version, up to 12, maybe 13. For my own home made calendar, my photo for March is a bee, suckling from the centre of a tiny forget-me-not flower!
Fascinating stuff Graham. Love seeing Magpies but we always have to salute so I was saluting furiously 😃. Great captures.
😆😂🤣 ha ha! Hope your arm isn't aching too much! Thanks for watching and for your kind comment. Have a good weekend! 👍🤓👍
@@NaturallyCuriousUK you too mate.
