I'm switch to a black gold single pin this year. I had the 3 pin setup but after shooting my dad's bow I liked the single pin, it feels like you get alot bigger picture in it. I went to Top of Utah Archery in Logan.
That’s why I got a Tommy Hogg model. The gears aren’t exposed. You don’t get the dovetail, but it’s a bit lighter. Wrap the locking knob with some mole skin (adhesive foam padding).
I have that moose skin padding on my riser shelf and bottom of my sight housing, anywhere an arrow could contact when loading or enclosed in my rest. Wasn’t an issue with a whisker biscuit but I’m using a Ripcord Ace now and the arrow can bounce up and hit the bottom of the sight if you’re moving around.
Yes during a period of time from July 31st - December 31st…. Sucks cause I loved running cams through the ruts and just getting cool photos and videos!
Try looking at the Option 6 or Option 8 sight by Option archery. It is the best of both worlds. Single pin sight and fixed pins. II have a fast eddie, but now it is on backup bow and I shot the option 6 on the Black 5
This is interesting video because you have both. I am getting the Spot Hogg because I want to go away from 5 pin. I am having hard time aiming at 40 yards and more with 5 pins. It is obstructing my view and every second shot I don't see clearly my target bulls eye. Now days with this fast bows the pins are close and defiantly make me struggle. I have to way that multi pin is more for young people with really good vision . I could shoot my 5 pin accurately but I need to wear glasses that I normally don't wear so it is making my shooting more difficult.
Little piece of foam tape on the lock screw should stop that click. Good info though, just ordered one of the Fast Eddie XL sights, so going to get some tape for that. Cheers!
Keep it up brother, digging your channel. Do a video on your draw cycle and form when pulling heavy poundage bows. I'm doing just fine with my 60, but want to work up to 70-80 and don't want to mess up my back. You look like you have a lot of power in your draw, and I got to figure out how to copy your form!
Hey Hax - thanks for the vid, my bro. I don’t have either of these, but they look like great sights. On that Fast Eddie, I’d recommend taking a little padded tape and placing it on the loud set screw where it makes contact in order to silence it. You could use baseball bat/tennis racket grip tape for this, as padded tape isn’t too common from my experience. Enough wraps of electrical tape would likely accomplish this as well. Thanks again, my man - have a good one!
@@HaxenHunt yes give it away to me want one but don’t have the money for it after getting my bow I always wanted I’m out of cash really want that spot hog sight
Bro lol. Your issue with the noise of the dial lock is user error. You can snug that up with a screw and it won’t make noise. And the price isn’t apples to apples. That’s a 5 pin black gold, and the double pin. Check out the price on a 5 pin fast eddy xl.
🇺🇸Thanks for the heads up on the sights. 🦌 Your videos help out a lot. Keep videos coming and can’t wait to see the new winning bow build.🎉Good luck to everyone who is in the drawing.

Yeah for sure more open of a sight window! That’s awesome!

Haha, looks like we were thinkin similar on the padded tape - I wrote a comment, than seen yours!

You should try out the Trophy Ridge React Pro 5 pin. I think you'd love it, and would love to see your review on it.
