My Daddy was in the USMC doing night re-con in Vietnam during the war. Then went on to be career. Being born at Camp Lejune in ‘69 , I grew up well aware of the horror of that Summer. I think my radar really went up with the school protests. Neil Young singing Ohio in my head. Add tat the polarization seems so extreme. Very “ us vs them” and one side with the Christian Nationalism movement armed to the gills, is fundamentally antithetical to what the US stands for. But this is just my opinion.
