I hate the 4+1 rule. The Mets had to get rid of their road alternate jerseys 2 years ago because of it and they aren’t even getting a city connect until this year.
The new unis are garbage overall. Ok, so leave these cheap "athletic" jersey to the players. Give the fans the older, better quality stuff, with the good lettering and numbers, and REAL patches !
The Mets should have done orange lettering and numbers with a thick blue outline on the new black alt uni. Think it would look unique.

You gave the Royals credit they don't deserve. Uni Watch wrote they were forced to go back to the new lower quality uniforms once the season started.
Taking out the white outline for the Mets black uniform kinda makes everything muddy, it’s horrible color play
