My favorite author Jo Nesbo.. I have whole the series of Harry Hole adventures! And Nesbo is the reason that I want to visit Norway and especially Oslo!
Every adult should read ‘the Redbreast’. War/fascism/survival/illness/mental illness/corruption/brotherhood/romance. Studied WW2 history several times in school/college and don’t remember learning of the predicament Norway found itself in during and after the war. Raises many ethical questions and steers us towards compassion for a future that’s not to far away, apparently?
@@numbo655 people tell me u will get lost and miss Harry holes story line ..I'm afraid I can waste the experience but one should not buy all of he's books that would be cheating
@@ilqar887 If you start with Redbreast you will be fine. Nothing very important happens to his character before then. If you start with one of the later books it's a bit worse. But even then I don't think it's too bad.
I've bought 7 of his books now and read 5. I just started "Knife." Looking into buying Phantom next. Just saw the "Snowman" movie. Miscast - Fassbender is too pretty as Harry and the actress playing Rakel is too tiny and whiny and skinny. They kept to the book's plot about 90%. It was good.
I enjoyed reading Jo Nesbo The Cardinal was the first book I read. Then I read; The Bat, The Cockroaches, The Devil's Star, The Redeemer, The Snowman and The Knife.
I have been searching for books like that books than explain psychology of a serial killer than the police work I can find ..I have read 2 Harry hole novel red feast and nemesis they are more about police work unfortunately
As Jo Nesbo explained in the video above, his Harry Hole novels take a stark turn with tones towards darker, psychological, and villainous, from 'The Snowman' forward.
The Kingdom is the best ever. Than Cockroaches and Police take silver - the former is as good as the latter accordingly. The special prise as of a tytan middle finger goes to The Snowman.
See you whenever this man's immense talent gets globally recognised.
I finished the book cockroaches and i loved that. I'm looking forward to read more series of Harry Holes.
Read the novels in sequence. Do not jump over. It is mesmerizing reading, but the following novels have plenty of spoilers of earlier books.
When you are visiting Oslo it is nice to reading Jo Nesbo, in Venice Donna Leon, in Zagreb Pavao Pavličić , etc.🙂

My three favourite books in the series! Especially Redbreast and Phantom!
Can I read one book from series or should I read all of them?
@@ilqar887 You can definitely ready just one if you like. I started with Redbreast.

@@numbo655 I already bought snowman so should I read it ?? Tell me I should
The Son is my first novel by Jo Nesbo. So far so good. I am unaccustomed to a multiple-character perspective...
I've read three novels:
Police
Thirst
Knife
Ben Nicholson not the snowman? How were those books?
Thirst is the best so far (in my opinion)
@@heylarag u read all?

My favorites: 1. Snowman 2. Police 3. The Redbreast
Haven't read yet: Knife
I thought he was going to say police. Phantom is probably my favorite. I think the leopard is undervalued

Are they more about psychology of a serial killer or a polis investigation?
Police is the shit
What language does he write in?
Obviously norwegian

Worst thing about Harry hole novels is that u can't read then as a standalone ...u have to buy all book read all in order
How is that a negative?
Totally shocked that you killed Lønn. 😶
