I am fan of kraig adams when i saw his video of hiking few days ago i surprized because he have another channel filming wedding school which i use to watch regularly before this channel
Thanks for recording your TMB for those who are considering it. I know it takes time and effort to stop to take the videos and then to edit it to make a cohesive product. It came out great and I think will help a lot of people who are eagerly waiting for the time for travel again! Tschuus!
this is equaly as amazing as al the other creators out there, u either love it or u hate it < 3 Matter of fact, kraig, u, abby, brandon, are the main ppl that made me convince my younger brother to go hike the haute route this year!
Unglaublich gut gelungenes Video! War sehr entspannend anzusehen und die Bilder waren beeindruckend! Besonders in Minute 8, klasse Perspektive. Mich würde eine Video zu deiner Ausrüstung für diese Tour interessieren, da ich selber mit dem Gedanken spiele diese Route zu wandern
Incredible video, such breathtaking views and what an impressive accomplishment! You are goals, Yannick!!! Can’t wait to see what you do next!! Cheers, Aziza
Thank you, I am happy you liked it. :) Hope, you get to hike the TMB soon The JMT is high on my list, but I want to combine it with a thru hike of the PCT in the next years! So stoked
Was supposed to hike the WHW next week but canceled it due to the strict rules in Scotland. Decided to hike the TMB instead. Was supposed to go next year, but will do it this year. That means I did not have the time to book refuges or prepare for this particular tour; also no need to because I bring my tent and planning to camp every night. Could you maybe tell me whether or not it's possible to set up camp next to a refuge if I ask them nicely? Other words: have you seen tents next to the refuges while you were there? Thanks in advance! And almost forgot: this video for me all hyped up!! :)
Great drone skills and love your editing! Also, congratulations on completing the tour! I enjoyed watching your videos and hopefully someday i will hike TMB! Cheers brother
Great shots and I absolutely love the music, Hammock has been one of my favorite artists recently. Really hooked on their Mysterium album. Keep up the good work!
Yannick thanks for sharing , its absolute amazing 😉, i love it ! I saw that you also did Reunion which is an island near Mauritius 🇲🇺. You should ty Nepal 🇳🇵 soon , i did the Annapurna circuit and its fantastic, one ☝️ love
Thank you so much for your message :) Nepal is very high on my bucket list, I am sure you had a wonderful time there! How long did you need to complete Annapurna circuit?
@@fly.annick it took me two weeks , its a circuit around the Annapurna and its magical! You have to cross a high altitude pass ,called the Thorong La at 5416 m ,its one of the highlight of the trek .Am planning to to do the Everest base camp via Gyoko in October 22.
Mindblowing journey! Awesome locations and shots. For some drone shots I would use warp stabilizer or similiar to make it more smooth. And it seems you dont have much experience in flying drone? :) Anyway, respect and all the best! At 13:59 is it fake camera movement or yo have used some gear to pan camera?
Hey! amazing work man. Initially watching the hiking sequence, I wouldnt have even noticed this was shot on an Iphone (which is also kind of funny considering I watched most of this in 720p because of bad internet). I love the essence of using the tools you have to tell the story. Hoping to get out to the TMB this Summer so thanks for the insight!
Thanks David! No, I just used keyframing :) Would have loved to have a slider with me, but it's just too much weight lol I have some ND filters for my drone, none for my phone though
Great video! Three questions: did you do any colour grading? How did you many to store all the 4k footage in iphone without running out of space? Did you use any external mic - which one?
Thank you! Yes, I recorded everything in D-Log on my drone and did some color grading afterwards (I need to practice that in the future haha), but the iPhone footage was good to go. I almost ran out of space, but luckily, it was enough 128GB served me well (even though I had to delete everything before starting the hike) I did not use any external mike (yet), but I am planning to do that in the future
Holyyy, these drone shots are insane :D I just posted a Kraig Adams style video as well with drone shots but nothing close to this. I gotta get a Mavic Pro and your talent real quick
Would love to know about the Drone laws for the Tour du Mont Blanc! Since it goes through 3 countries- what are the laws? They are very strict in the US and I want to bring a done on my Mont Blanc trip next year but not if there are too many rules xD
Hi Tim, no, there are not. The trail is very accessible, no matter if you are a beginner or experienced mountaineer. No ropes required and great trail maintenance
what about drinking water? had you a bottle of water with you or water flowing in streams are able to drink?? also please share if this Qs is not awkward:) how you managed to avoid bad smell of sweating taking showers in lack? streams or on the way hotels? thanks in advance
Hi Muhammad, great questions! I am using the "Katadyn Befree Water Filtration System" for my hikes. During the TMB, there were plenty of streams I could drink from. I am sure that I was smelling bad during the hike haha - That's just part of the deal ;) But to get some of that stickiness away, I tried to wash myself in (freezing cold) streams.
Thank you for the feedback! You should check out my most recent hiking video, I adapted a bit and explained about the hike and it's perks and challenges during the video itself :) Looking forward to hearing what you think.
You put a lot of work into this and it shows. amazing for iphone only my dude. great job
Thank you so much Kraig 😍 I feel honored that you liked it! Please keep up with your awesome content yourself. You’re such an inspiration

Well done!!! At 50 I'm still dreaming of hiking TMB. You did this quite fast... should consider hiking the John Muir Trail (210 miles) in California.
Thank you, I am happy you liked it. :) Hope, you get to hike the TMB soon
The JMT is high on my list, but I want to combine it with a thru hike of the PCT in the next years! So stoked

@@fly.annick But you were able to free fly the whole way while hiking the Tour du Mont Blanc?
Well done, brother. :-)
Thanks, mate! :)
hey that outro music is dope! What's the name of that track??
Are there any parts of trail where you have to be roped in or are precariously perched?

Caro amigo, deve conhecer o Monte Roraima no Brasil. Fantástico
You should speak something while you do hiking telling us about the places, route, important landmark s, height, temp, food you are eating, etcetc
