Tom is just wonderful. I love seeing interviews of him like this and how happy and excited he gets with things. It's honestly nicer than when he interviews in blink-182 and does all that try hard immature joking. I enjoy the immaturity, but he seems to force it, like he has to do it since he's in blink. Here he's just being his natural, happy-go-lucky self and it comes of really nice and I dunno. It made me feel good.

I think he still uses them in the studio sometimes. Would love to see him bring a couple strats out on tour but I saw a video not too long ago where he said he prefers his Gibson and "moved on to bigger and better things". So I don't think it's too hopeful. Would still be cool though.

Dude, that wasn't anything being challenged. I own the Gibson Tom Delonge guitar and bought it from AVA's David Kennedy. The Gretsch in the video is clearly a custom model. Whether it is a one off or new artist model remains to be seen. The fact of the matter is that it probably wasn't an accident that Tom had the guitar highlighted in the video.
He talks to people about his interests like he's explaining it to a child that couldn't possibly be on his level. To me it's like he's scratching the surface, but thinks he's *so deep*
Sold out? Selling out isn't leaving one of the biggest bands of their time period to play in a less popular band. Selling out isn't rejoining that old band with the chance to come back and be huge again, but instead they dropped their label and wrote music they like. Tom didn't sell out. AVA costs him more money than it makes him.
Do you even know what selling out is? If you think about it he "sold out" in 1998. But I think that's a stupid term for spiteful people. If you can be successful for playing music, more power to you.
