The entire Monsterverse has been disrespecting Kong. Ghidorah folded Godzilla. He needed a bunch of help to eventually win. Kong eventually stalemated Zilla after Mecha started folding Godzilla. While we never get to see Kong defeat other Titans, while we see Zilla defeat other Titans. If Kong is the second strongest they need to start showing it more.
Is Godzilla just kind of dumb? We never willingly see Zilla have Kongs back, where as Kong willingly if begrudgingly helps Zilla for the betterment of the planet. Honestly if not for the planet it seems like Kong would have let Zilla worry about his own fight. Which is proof that Kong does not see Godzilla as his alpha and rightfully so.
