1. Do those exercises daily (on a regular basis) to improve finger strength and finger Independence (Check my other videos too)
2. Don’t forget to practice relaxing whatever exercises you do daily (All included in the videos)
Stretch- Poke- Relax ( not just fingers or hands but whole body; arm and wrist)
3. Ensure to take a proper sitting posture (check the videos; Proper Sitting Posture 1 & 2: Relaxed neck(not bent), dangling arm from shoulder, unlocked but flexible wrist, etc
Finger Strength and agility are pivotal for executing complex passages with precision. Continue to do the exercises that I introduced in the videos on a regular basis. It can significantly improve finger independence and control, evenness and clarity.
The benefits of stretching exercise include injury prevention and improved posture when playing the piano. Regular stretching can help your fingers move more freely, enhancing your playing.
Use the weight of your forearms to play fast and loud
If you are simply using finger strength to play loud and fast, you will quickly get tired. Let your arms hang limply at your sides to get a feel for the weight they have, then channel that weight into your playing. You will instantly notice a difference.
Must practice relaxing as much as you practice moving fingers to play piano
Moreover, you must learn to relax quickly to execute fast passages and music without tensing up your muscles.

I THINK ITS RAINING!
I noticed that when doing this exercise with the 4th (ring) finger, the pinky goes up too. Is that right? You don’t keep the pinky down?
The nerves b/w 4th and 5th fingers are intertwined so it is very normal that the 5th goes up when lifting 4th so, when lifting 4th and keep 5th finger down, you won’t be able to lift 4th all the way up ( only half way), so it is better to try both ways; 4th finger all the way up ( 5th finger will go up as all), when keep 5th finger down, 4th will go up only half way but it will help improving finger independence in that way so trying both ways are inevitable
@@lhn1982 thanks for the logic!
After trying the 4 finger with keeping the pinky down for a while, could it possibly put unnecessary stress on the connecting ligaments or tendons?
@@CuzCutz You should not feel any unnecessary tension on ligaments or anywhere. You might feel unnecessary tension or stress when you just start working on that exercise, just bc you haven’t used that muscle and ligaments and also possibly you are not used to a quick relaxation. You must be able to release your tension right away after stretching so that you don’t feel any tension or stress on ligaments. It must be reconciled well with a quick relaxation. Even if you feel any stress, it should go away immediately If it doesn’t, it simply means that your hand is not fully relaxed. Must be able to relax, and don’t do more than what you can do, otherwise it will only create more tension on your hands
