Since the beginning of Frank Herbert’s six-novel Dune saga in 1965, there have been a few attempts to bring the series to life through film. But, none have come anywhere close to reaching the success that 2021’s Dune did, with it bringing in 402 million dollars worldwide at the box office on a budget of 165 million, and truly being one of the best films of the year. So, with the project being such a huge success, both critically and financially, it only makes sense that a sequel would soon hit theaters as well, with Dune: Part Two releasing on March 1st. But, before the new film, we’ve decided to take a look back at and run down everything that took place in Part One.

Taking a friend to see part two. He hasn't seen part 1 and can't find it on streaming where we live. If we can't get Part 1, I'll share this with him as this is the best synopsis I've found.

I’m in exactly the same position. This is definitely the best video I found. All the others either skipped important things, assume knowledge from the books, failed to explain context and character motivation, failed to actually detail, important, plot points from the first movie, or just spoke so quickly that a newcomer to this lore wouldn’t be able to follow it. I can't get past the Dune plot hole of the "incorruptible" Doctor turning traitor that sets up the whole story.
All they had to do was kidnap his wife? Nobody noticed his wife went missing? She was one of those Witches like Jessica who all know each other, etc...
