@@macdom24 I can imagine Leo doing the same as Josh, except that it was Jed Bartlett on the other end of the phone - and it was Abby listening in. And I gave myself an asthma attack laughing thinking about it.
There is a follow-up scene in this episode where Josh goes back to the white house with him and Donna talking about sex with Margret walked past them in the middle of the conversation. It was a great scene. Margret is a fantastic character of the show.
@@baileyjones4379 I agree she isn't cute, but I liked her very much, for her strength and because she wouldn't compromise to make it easy for you to navigate her. Except those charming rare moments when she conceded and made you love her.
@@barryschwarz I'm not the original person you're responding to above, but just to chime in, I thought she was fascinating -- scheming and overly ambitious, while also exceedingly attractive. I think she didn't know boundaries very well which is what constantly got her into trouble, and her sense of discretion was a little off. Great character though.
@@digital_gravity. Yes, you’re right. CJ says so when they’re all sitting on his porch, the night of the midterms, while he’s still home recovering from being shot.
** spoiler alert!!! *** I'll admit I was rooting for Josh and Donna for 6 seasons, but because they keep flirting and nothing happened, I gave up on that. This is why when they finally kissed, I didn't really feel anything and I'm like, there they go. I really wanted Joey with him, though!
Linguists call it “vocal fry”. This thing that young American girls did to show boredom (or something). Sort of “oh my goooood”. This actress specialises in it. And it makes me want to tear my own skull in half.
I don't actually ship Josh with anybody, but I REALLY don't ship him with Amy. That said, I frickin love Amy. But I would pair her with *Matt Santos* before I'd pair her with Josh lol. She and Josh shared way too many flaws. I really fun but know who I'd pair her with tbh. Her character isn't about that for me.
the best part is how Leo is so deadpan, it doesn't throw him even a little, he makes it seem like this happens weekly
He's seen it all he's been doing this longer than most people are alive.

I laughed so hard when the camera shows Leo listening to Josh describing his 4 nights with Amy, I love the comedic scenes like this
What a scorching couple. I’ve always preferred Josh and Donna but these two had some serious chemistry.
"Josh I'm going to stop you right here okay?" Lmao.
One of the great ever scenes. The banter between the pair is just so believable.
Bless you, Sir, for including Leo's phone call.
Just the way he says "Hey, Margaret" ROFL
Another reason to love Margret
Mary-Louise Parker is utterly luminous. And when she unleashes that smile of hers my chest flutters. She reminds me a little of my late wife.

Turns up unannounced at 5am with no coffee.
Can you get coffee before 5am in DC? I couldn't in my city.
@@barryschwarz. Plenty of 24 hour & open @ 5am places where I live on the East coast. Coffee, donuts, bagels, breakfast, etc.
@@retired42002vz I live on the East Coast, too. Of Australia. 🙂
@@barryschwarz Guess I should’ve said in the U.S., I usually do. 🤭 Makes a big difference.
Amy's smile is devastating...
1:26 "We're going to stop with the apples soon, right?"
It is 5 AM and not only Leo is working already but also Margaret...!
2:29 that smile could end wars
I always thought the writers should have taken Josh and Amy’’s relationship much further. The chemistry was really good between the characters.
It was subtle to not do so.
Their chemistry was great but I found her a deeply unlikable character in her own right. And he had much better chemistry with Donna anyway.

Cracks me up every time I watch this scene. Thanks for posting it!
I love Donna, but I alway felt Amy was the perfect fit for Josh.
josh either still wears his pajamas from cj because his either to lazy to buy new ones or because his sentimental
The too big pajamas were bought for Josh by his mother
K V Incorrect, it was CJ.

LMAO!! I knew it was going to be someone else on the phone.
And the fact it was Leo! LOL
Looks like breakfast to me.
Josh has 3 ships, and I switch ships every episode.
Josh and Donna
Josh and Joey
Josh and Amy
He has excellent taste in women

We're forgetting Josh and Mandy, who were probably too much alike for it to last. So goes the fiction in my head.
@@barryschwarz Mandy...DOES NOT EXIST! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
In Joe from Family Guy's voice:
Josh, stop doin' what you're doin'.
Problem with the caucus in Iowa. Oh west wing :’)
What a dissapojntment that was. We could be the nominee now...
this is why i say nothing good happens at 5 am
what episode is this? i adore this scene.
Well, she might not be breakfast, but she is a dish.
Great scene, but the call came one second after the door closed. Amy couldn't possibly have called him that quickly.
Her acting just consists of a seductive slur-drawl. and eye rolling.

What season and episode?
*Why is the audio-track NOT in synch with the actors speaking?*
( *Is this the result of watching too many episodes of 'Clutch Cargo?'* )
ive said it a million times. they were way better than josh and donna
100%
IMHO, Mary-Louise Parker is proof that many women can/do look better after 30.

Es genial la luisa maria parques
Amy's actions in this scene are borderline sociopathic. What kind of diseased maniac shows up at an ex's home at 5am just to torment them?
Seriously who still wears pyjamas? I can see maybe the pants but who wears pyjama tops still? Just an old t-shirt ad gym shorts are much better.
If Amy had been blown up in a car Josh would have wondered why he didn't think to do it himself.
You can not like a character. But as actors its great scene. What a horribly terrifying death scene setence you wrote
Amy doesn't come off great in this scene. She's obviously in a serious relationship with what's his name, but she screwing around with Josh.
LOL
Never like that Amy. She was elitist, arrogant and smug.
Which makes her a perfect match for Josh, who is... y'know... all those things, too.
Yeah lmfao those are the best things about here character. That’s why she’s a great match for Josh. She was an Ivy League power broker in DC.
So enjoyable to view video with voice almost, not really synched. Did you let a 3 year old public this?
