Other than Donna - Amy is the only gal that the writers tried to force on Josh that I thought were 'a good fit' for Josh. It's actually cute how Donna and Josh talk to each other in this scene...you can hear how comfortable and fond with/of, respectively, they are with each other. Amy is the hot fling. But Donna is the soulmate.
It is amazing that YT recommended this tiny portion of a West Wing episode for me, as it was already one of my favorite scenes EVER!!! Of course I loved Amy and the way she could break Josh's b*lls when necessary, but within a couple of minutes I discovered that I had not given Van Morrison's music the attention it deserves.

Amy wasn’t the girl for Josh. Should have been Joey Lucas (Marlee Matlin).
Joey Lucas broke Josh's heart. Plus, their timing was never right. Donna was the only choice.
Joey was definitely a better fit than Amy but neither of the them would ever have been as perfect a fit as Donna
