that's what I always loved about Clint Eastwood. the roles he played like this character just really draws you in. It's not like most movies with some guy playing some macho hero. Here (Gran Torino) Clint's character is someone you can relate with. just a ordinary (or so it seems) everyday old man who stands up to some punks. As a boy in the late 60's I was weaned on his movies. My friends and I all thought his characters grit, determination and courage were what made a real man growing up. Many today hate those ideals but I think they are woefully ignorant. I work with minorities and immigrant foreign women in construction and I can say without hesitation...They would trust me with their lives...

that's what I always loved about Clint Eastwood. the roles he played like this character just really draws you in. It's not like most movies with some guy playing some macho hero. Here (Gran Torino) Clint's character is someone you can relate with. just a ordinary (or so it seems) everyday old man who stands up to some punks. When most of us would turn the other cheek and keep walking instead of helping.

As a boy in the late 60's I was weaned on his movies. My friends and I all thought his characters grit, determination and courage were what made a real man growing up. Many today hate those ideals but I think they are woefully ignorant.

Unforgiven and Gran Torino are my favorites by him. I think as he got older he became more tallented and made his characters roles more deep and insightful. We know practically nothing about "The Good" but feel like weve known Walter for years.
