Umm yeah the first true wide cab locomotive was the Boxy BQ23-7. (I knew there's FP45,F45,SDP40F,U30CG,P30CH,F40PH,F40C) yeah but this is GE's first safety cab locomotive before the C40-8W's.
Ah, yes. The ugly BQ23-7. If there is anything to prove that YN2 looks good on everything, this is it. It is the only thing that can ever make that thing not look completely hideous.
When I first saw this in the C40-8 episode, I half expected to find a photoshopped photo of the BQ23-7 with the all spark at its cab.
I wish at least one of these locomotives was preserved
