I have been looking around for thriller recs across booktube since last 24 hrs. And your vid seemed like a one stop shop after all the research. The summaries are to the point, loved the time stamps and absolutely loved your straight to the point approach. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 😊♥
I bought a book "Murder mystery of reporter" by Jaiprakash Jha. It's a wonderful book. I was surprised with the story. I will recommend all of you to read this book. Online available ☺️
I look forward to listening to these books on audio format although the two recommended by Colleen Hoover were not available in that format. I have been watching several videos of book recommendation and this is the only one I subscribed to. You announced the title and author clearly and held the book steady so I could read the title. Also you give good brief summaries without being dramatic. (No waiving the arms all the place, no readjusting the hair from one shoulder to another and no rapid and overly trite expressions of speeches I.e. omg) I am from an older generation and am always looking for new books to get me out of my normal genre . Thank you.
First of all, thank you for presenting something different than the same books covered all over TH-cam. Second- the Audible version of Pretty Girls is masterfully narrated and bar none, THE most suspenseful book I have listened to out of >250 so far. Yes, incredibly intense, must know one’s limits type of read. But the twists, turns, etc kept my entire household firmly engaged. Explosive!
Yo!! I know this video is old but when I am two books in and you hit me with "Sci-fi/Thriller" I screamed! Sci-fi is my FAVE genre (next to Fantasy) and to pair that with Thrillers is just *CHEF'S KISS* Perfection!! Thank you for feeding my bookish addiction.
No Exit is my favorite read so far of 2021, and made it to my all time favorite list! I was SO friggin stressed the entire time and it was amazing 😂 I NEED it to be a movie! I also read Behind Her Eyes because I wanted to watch the show, but was also intrigued by the hype of the ending. Personally, I think it was just okay, guess it just wasn’t for me, but the ending was admittedly very satisfying. I saw the first part of the twist a few chapters away, but the last part (the very last chapter) I didn’t see coming haha. With the exception of Final Girls, I also love anything that Riley Sager writes. Lock Every Door gave me immediate Rosemary’s Baby and Park Avenue 666 vibes, which I loved. I love how each one of his books feel like a fun horror movie. He Started It was one of the only books where I was guessing the reveal until the very end. I feel like I’ve got really good at piecing things together pretty early in the book, but this one I was only like 20% sure of my guess by the end and I was WAAAAY off 😂 It was a fun ride though. My recommendation for something fast paced: The Burning Girls by CJ Tudor. I binged this and my friend did too and we’re OBSESSED!
Yesss No Exit NEEDS to be a movie!! I agree that very last chapter of Behind Her Eyes is IMPOSSIBLE to predict 👀 and thanks for the rec! Haven’t read anything by CJ Tudor yet but definitely hear about them a lot so I’ll have to check that one out!
Your book suggestions are consistently excellent. Thank you so much for making me excited about books. I read Arctic Ave, and it quickly rose to the top of my list of all-time favorites! highly suggestable
I think you’d really like the kind worth killing by Peter Swanson. It’s a psychological thriller with a bit of romance and it’s got the structure of each chapter being a different perspective from a character and the book is broken up into 3 parts. It’s my favourite book and I think the best of his works from the ones I have read but you should definitely check it out. Also thanks for all the recommendations I’m really exciting to start reading some!
That's my favorite book too! I recommend it to everyone, and everyone who has read it loved it too. It should be way more popular than it is. That last page!!!
I loved this video! I have read The Guest List and He Started It. I usually do not like books with unlikeable characters, but the latter was full of them and it made the book for me. The ending.... I recently listened to The Sanatorium by Pearse and it was a good isolated closed circle mystery with a huge creepy factor. HIs and Hers by Feeney kept me guessing. The Cutting Season by Attica Locke felt like an isolated closed circle mystery with lots of historical elements. It was slower paced, but had more than one mystery, Thanks for sharing!
I recently listened to The Sanatorium as and really like it too! The others I haven’t read yet (though I have His & Hers already sitting on my shelves) but they sound awesome! Thanks for the recs and thanks for watching :)
The Silent Patient is my all time favourite too! I've read about 50 thrillers after that but could never find anything as good. Can you recommend any books that matched the level of The Silent Patient a bit atleast?
Listening to this two years later and getting some good suggestions for books to read! Adding them all on goodreads. I’ve been on a thriller kick lately and so far, six books in, Ive only read Verity.
I have! I'm the anomaly - everyone I know LOVES that book but I kind of hated it haha. I didn't like the noir-like tone or the characters, however I loved Swanson's latest, Every Vow You Break, but it seems like no one else likes that one so I have a weird relationship with Swanson's books it seems haha
I trust this list because I already read five of them and enjoyed it so much. Hopefully I can get myself to read them all soon. Thanks for this recos ❤️
These are some great recommendations! I've read the majority and really enjoyed them. I added the other few to my want to read list. Great job explaining them without giving any spoilers. I think No Exit was my favorite. What a ride. I, too, read it in a day. I can't wait to watch your other videos.
Wow these recommendations are all amazing, the only one I haven't read is pretty wife (added to my tbr lol) we have very similar reading tastes I think :)
Very engaging and clear video 👌 Lots of these are on my wishlist and I really enjoyed BEHIND HER EYES mini series (haven't read the book). Have you read THIRTEEN and TWISTED by Steve Cavanagh? AMAZING thrillers 😍
Watched the whole thing, a lot of these I have but got some new options thanks ps lock every door was my personal fav Recommend to u The Silent Patient Alex Michaelides
Great review! Thank you love. I will place them ALL on my list. Read the Last One by Will Dean, if you have not yet. Also, Alice Feeney’s Rock, Paper, Scissors.
Best New thriller series...THE TARA'S JOURNAL SAGA .... Book 1- TARA'S JOURNAL BY CATHERINE ANNE Book 2- RACHAEL'S JOURNEY BY CATHERINE ANNE. These books are AWESOME. SUPERNATURAL THRILLERS She's writing the 3rd book in series now
Thank you for the recommendations my sister is in prison and she has been reading books so quickly but I don’t read books so I don’t know what books to send her but your channel is so useful and appreciated!! She said she wants to read thrillers or suspense.
I really love thrillers and I must admit that American thrillers have gotten better and better with time. That being said, I live in a country where thrillers are almost regarded as a master art and we have such great thrillers that English speaking countries have no idea even exist. And it goes so much farther than just telling a story. You have series that answer each other from one author to another suggesting very uneasy stuff in the background while you're reading a story, so disturbing, it"s just at another level.
I've read pretty girls and it is definitely not for everyone but it's one of my favorite books. Couldn't put it down. I've also read no exit. Really really good book. Looking forward to reading your other recommendations.
I bought a book "Murder mystery of repoter" by Jaiprakash Jha. It's a wonderful book. I was surprised with the story. I will recommend all of you to read this book. Online available 🙂

Lol I’m going to try those others that you mentioned tho. Thanks!!

have to finally get around to a few of these! just finished 'someone knows', wow wow wow!!! so, maybe you or anyone can help me with the title of this book i can't recall- it's the story of a woman who has recently given birth to twins, while in the hospital she sees visions of a witch, not the wizard of oz type, just an old creepy woman. the witch ends up kidnapping her twins and of course everyone thinks the mom is crazy and she is guilty. i recall the ending being somewhere in a swamp or something...
