The name of this woman (on the 911 call) has not been publicly released, but it is a matter of fact that her actions stopped this serial killer. Edit: My mistake -- as mentioned by ew1128 below, Grate WAS sentenced to death for the murders of two of his victims, but his execution was stayed pending appeal. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for the other 3 murders. The death penalty is weird concept for me if you think that someone has done some truly horrific things without remorse. Seeing as you'd also give a beloved pet or family member in severe pain the same ending, without trying to sound like a dick. Lifetime in prison with someone working their darndest on getting the catch that keeps him from feeling bad for what he did to click loose. Then a lifetime of guilt. *That* imo, is a punishment. The victim was in a horrible state, the dispatcher needs to keep her calm by asking question about her surrounding and help her navigate the way to safety. And the police does not have the exact address of the building.

Patient, not talking too loud but still speaking clearly (a lot of them talk way too damn loud even in situations like this one where they ought to know better), staying with her and giving her sound advice and keeping calm... all in all this dispatcher was remarkable. She and the caller sounded like a real team, trying to get her outta there asap. This dispatcher should be proud of herself, for real :)

This happened in my hometown of Mansfield, my mom actually knew him through friends. I met him before, he was pretty quiet. He kept trying to get my mom out on a date. She felt like he was odd, definitely had some bad bad vibes around him.

You can hear on the call (damn the cut) that it only took half a minute from that part to the police enter that house. The reason is that they got the location but they do not know exact house. So in that case, they will break the searching teams (around 10-20 members) into smaller groups and find in different direction. So anyway, they would not miss her, or slower the process.
Why are y’all bullying the dispatcher: she kept her tone extremely calm which they are trained to do in order to keep the caller calm. Her voice isn’t that loud and is amplified so WE can hear it, and when the kidnapper woke up she thought quickly and told the caller to “just put the phone down” AND it had a happy ending. Give her credit she did her job very well

There are some carbonised bones but the authorities think arent of her body because the procedure of burning would take more to get it in this situation. So it could be of other girl bones... He showed some places, yet the body wasnt there. We cant compare the way they saved that woman with the way this 15 year old girl was treated in 2019.

Patient, not talking too loud but still speaking clearly (a lot of them talk way too damn loud even in situations like this one where they ought to know better), staying with her and giving her sound advice and keeping calm... all in all this dispatcher was remarkable. You can hear on the call (damn the cut) that it only took half a minute from that part to the police enter that house. The reason is that they got the location but they do not know exact house. So in that case, they will break the searching teams (around 10-20 members) into smaller groups and find in different direction. So anyway, they would not miss her, or slower the process.
Why are y’all bullying the dispatcher: she kept her tone extremely calm which they are trained to do in order to keep the caller calm. Her voice isn’t that loud and is amplified so WE can hear it, and when the kidnapper woke up she thought quickly and told the caller to “just put the phone down” AND it had a happy ending. Actually no!! Those questions are necessary..and there are many reasons for it..she was asking about all those doors and windows cause there was a possibility that the boy would have woke up!!! Second, all these questions are asked to keep the victim calm..and third..she needs time to triangulate and find her location..she was keeping her calm by asking all those questions..the fourth reason are the fake calls that they receive daily..

The victim wasnt found still, after the criminal said he killed her.
There are some carbonised bones but the authorities think arent of her body because the procedure of burning would take more to get it in this situation. So it could be of other girl bones...
He showed some places, yet the body wasnt there.
We cant compare the way they saved that woman with the way this 15 year old girl was treated in 2019.
