Vacuum press for woodworking, laminating, bending wood veneer spiral

How to make a fantastic bent, laminated wood veneer spiral and later use it as a leg for a wooden turned bowl.

Nice work! The vacuum press setup you have going on is pretty cool. I imagine cleaning up the edges of the spiral would be the most challenging part. Did you end up sanding them, spokeshave, or something else?

Thanks, I actually made this jig (see video here th-cam.com/video/O6-nhj14rAc/w-d-xo.html) for the task and afterwards I made some balusters for an old staircase, unfortunately I didn't film the first task
