    LUIS MIGUEL ON NEW ALBUM
Grammy-winning singer Luis Miguel is releasing a new album as a changed man thanks to the birth of his son, he told reporters at a news conference in Mexico City on Tuesday (6MAY08) night.
The Mexican crooner says the love for his 1-year-old son Miguel has affected his life personally and professionally.
"There was an aspect of love that I didn't know yet, the love of being a father, which is very different. It's another kind of love. And that has made me see things in a different way, and the impact it has had personally obviously has affected me on a professional level as well," he said.
Miguel spoke on Tuesday at the release of his new album titled "Complices."
Some 500 journalists and fans gave him a standing ovation when he was presented with a quadruple platinum award for the 320,000 copies of the disc already pre-sold.
He appeared in his signature black suit with white shirt and tie to the screams and applause of his fans.
Miguel wouldn't speak of media reports about his separation from the mother of his child, Mexican actress Aracely Arambula.
He spoke instead about how happy he is with his fans, who have shown him unconditional support during his career, and with whom he has shared much of his life.
"The experiences that we have lived, we have shared, have been the inspiration for a lot of these songs," he said to fans.
The 38-year-old Mexican heartthrob has been linked to a slew of female celebrities, including American singer Mariah Carey.
When asked about love, however, he avoided anything concrete and waxed philosophic instead: "Eternal love is something I have yet to see. What's eternal love? For me, it's the love of my mother, of my parents. That would be eternal love. An eternal love would be my love for my son."
He has sold more than 55 million albums around the world.
